Just clearing this one out of the studio too. The book I drew it for has been published and I was happy with the way it was used inside. The 'photoshopper' cropped different portions of the drawing to use as headers on each chapter page and at the end of the book was the whole drawing itself. Turned out nice and glad I have a copy!!

Anyway, this is a drawing for a friend of mine who's making a book for a friend of hers...a soon to be new mom. My friends husband
wants to be able to put this into printshop and then stretch the leash so the toddler and dog will end up on the back cover of the book.
I haven't done much in photoshop really but I was looking at this wondering if the oval under the kid and dog would mess up the
cropping/stretching process to get them on the back cover...anyone?
I didn't use any ref's but I have to say that the mom's face here reminds me of some drawings Suntan's done in the past. So, I guess Sunny
was the inspiration of the mom! LOL =)
just go there.. (if you dont belong to DA youll need to join..its free).. click on the Photoshop tag in the list of mentors and there will be people listed.. send any of them a note to ask how to do what you need.. they're great
Done, do you have an e-mail so I can send it to you to seen how it looks? Not per se to use as a final result, just to reassure you that it can be done.
OH, before I forget again! This one's my fav of yours in this style.
Poor mommy D: Wish I could lend her a hand.
No, enjoy! U didn't mess it up! It was just what the guy decided he wanted to do with it. They ended up using something different for the cover/back. I like it better inside the book anyway! I have another book I drew the cover/back for (the draws are here in my gallery) and that's been published as well! There's a third one in the works too!
