Im guessing there intensely trained which is pretty cruel! It's cool but it's like a dancing bear its pretty cool shit but they get tortured and abused in the process.

I think its fake. I've never seen an elephant able to hold something straight out from the end of its trunk, and to me, the trunk they show while the painting is happening looks like an arm disguised as a trunk. If I could see the elephant's head as it manipulated the brush I might believe it was real, but I think we've been had.
