I wanna see what you do without a ref. pic :) clowns are easy 'cause they're wearing makeup, you can make them up however you want them

Hi Lori.....Thank you for your comment.......ok....I'll give it a try....I'll try drawing a clown tomorrow......I'm too tired now to start another draw. My clown might end up looking like a pirate...."lol"!! What do you think of this pirate so far.....he's not finished yet. I kinda like version 3 of this pirate too....I don't know which one I like best. Anyways...thanks for commenting.....I appreciate it. :)

yes, the dark is appealing...I saw this and thought it should be on blue velvet. Looks like a guy I used to date.

Love the facial coloring and features. I also find it really interesting the way you incorporated the textures on this one.

I tried making his skin coloring pretty dark, because pirates are supposed to be dark and ominous looking.....I hope I was able to achieve that look for him. I do like using texture tools.....I hope I didn't overuse them. I'm glad you like the pic....."Thanks"!! :)

Sometimes it's good to overuse stuff, like "lube" when your getting your back door slammed.
