I was just wondering how to use the burn tool and the tool that makes it lighter (forgotten the name) in Lascaux.I cant work it out.

Dodge and burn. To use them you should probably turn opacity up and flow down (I keep forgetting to fix that), also it helps for non-advanced dodge/burning to select a grayscale color from the far left of the color chooser, choosing black/grey/white is similar to the midtones, shadows, highlights in photoshop, but with more control.
