This reminds me of Grandpa's photography and some of the pictures he did. In fact, you've done a couple other things that sort of remind me of his work, too. Grandpa always really liked you. The thing I like about this piece is that it's so clean; clean with a simple touch of nature's beauty.
Axil62 (May 1, 2006)
He only liked me because I had good weed.
xwindflyer (edited May 2, 2006)
I like this LOT. It does look a lot like Dads work. I like especially the way you treated the cracks between the boards. They are not just a thick black line between the boards, they have depth, with just a little hint of light behind them. Good work son.

Oh shit this reminds me of American beauty or something like that, ah that shitty film.

xwindflyer (Mar 29, 2006)
How can it be perfectly round, when it has three holes in it?
Sweetcell (Mar 29, 2006)
I have that chair, in blue..... but it's about the ball, the ball. Since it's invisible only you can tell us, is it black or blue? X)

Excellent mix of colors. I get lost in them (in a good way). I love the way the feathers are swirling about him. It gives a very nice sense of rhythm to this picture.
davincipoppalag (Mar 18, 2006)
I wish I could do that, just start and have this come out.
JoeNobody (Mar 19, 2006)
I can hear Heart's "Magic man" playing in the background.....nice image Axil

I've always thought Dad's house in Glacier View would be the perfect place to do the whole pottery and kiln thing with that huge garage and giant studio above it and that glorious picture window looking out onto the surrounding forests and valleys. We'd probably have to buy the clay from somewhere though. Soil from that kind of mountain terrain probably wouldn't work on it's own. I think we should try to get it back from Linda. You have my hands aching to hold and mold some clay now.
Axil62 (edited Mar 9, 2006)
I would love that...the getting dad's place back and having that huge studio to do stuff in and trying to sell it. not just pottery, paintings and such.
xwindflyer (Mar 10, 2006)
You'd have to do something about improving the well, and get a bigger cistern. Good Idea though, then I could come and visit it again someday. lol.
DoOp (Mar 11, 2006)

fantastic, been staring at it for awhile. i cloth and her right arm are so accurate, and contrast with the foilage. you got alotta skills dan, and they all came together
Rosemary (Feb 16, 2006)
really lovely :)
DejasView (Feb 16, 2006)
Not to pik yer pikshur apart but, her left knee looks fat compared to the right one. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong? Or maybe that's just the way the ref is?
xwindflyer (Feb 16, 2006)
I think it looks fat too. But the rest is good!

Simple Simon met a pie-man going to the fair
Said Simple Simon to the pie-man "Let me taste your ware"
Said the pie-man to Simple Simon "Let me see your penny"
Said Simple Simon to the pie-man "But I haven't any"

So simple yet so lovely, and yes the definition of a weed is a plant growing somewhere its not wanted! Nice image is this! :D
SYTHE (edited Feb 18, 2006)
Simple Simon from the Pie-Man took as much as he could take
So, the Pie-Man, Simple Simon did bludgeon with a rake
Then Marie Antoinette said, "Let them eat cake!"
(Where did that come from?) Great picture!
JoeNobody (Feb 18, 2006)
Momma had a baby and her head popped off

I am the only one who thinks or even knows those words while looking at this picture?
I had a neighbor who used to make dandelion wine. She lived to be 100, I don't know what effect the wine had on that.
This is a nice piece Axil.
Axil62 (Feb 18, 2006)
I heard it as "Fat ole lady had a fat ole baby an er head popped off!"

Thanks, Lascaux seems to be better for that oil paint look, to me anyway.
xwindflyer (Jan 10, 2006)

woah_pockster (Jan 10, 2006)

kristine (Jan 10, 2006)
