Is she pregnant?! I'd hope so..

Watermage, that's very beautiful. I love the chopsticks in her hair. =) They're so purty; I have a few sets of chopsticks at home myself.

This picture has a real lumberjack, hillbilly flavor. If that's what you were going for, then great! If not, then work on complimentary colors and body proportions. Also, a bit of her shirt is leaking into her arms, and her eyes are kind of bloody. =P

You might want to reduce the pixels of your line art a bit as well. Use a solid, 2 pixel (since it seems your comfortable with the thicker art). And line thickness variation around the face makes her seem 'very' chubby. Try again! I'm sure you'll do a great job. =)

hahaha! everytime i look at it its even more funny! DO u think it sux cause i do! (its my drawing by the way if u havnt loooked so i can critize it right?)
????????
ChinkyFlip (edited Mar 12, 2003)
If you criticize your own work like that (especially negatively), no one will want to criticize with you. If you're looking for pity, then.. Stop it. I think this work is great for a beginner. I love the tones you did with the sun, and the mermaid's tail is cute. I'm guessing you don't know much about layers (not in this drawing, anyways). With more time put into this, I'm sure it could be great.

Go ahead and add a more lively background. Like a sandy beach, palmtrees, birds, dolphins jumping, other mermaids, rocks, ships, whatever you like. Let your imagination run wild--but not too wild.

I really like her yellow shirt. =) I don't have any yellow tanktops.. Or yellow anything. =\ So this is a good, original picture. I like what you're going for with the huge anime eyes. And the way you did the hair shows a good personal style.

You shouldn't, however, cut off a picture at the bottom like that. Why don't you move the picture down so that the bottom of the screen cuts off the picture rather than that distracting black line? You may need to work on your line art a bit --as well as body proportions. The usual comments, huh?

Hees some shading, highlighting, eyebrows, proportional work and a background if you ask me.

Actually, there is a type of drawing called gesture drwaing. you get a minute to draw, say, a whole person. It's really good practice.

I'd say, as a gesture, it's pretty good. Quality is, after all, measured in many ways. ou can do this in three minutes, I'd like to see what you can do in an hour.

um thanxs! I just wish I could draw free hand instead of drawing with a mouse! It would be much easier!
