I love your unique ideas, this is neat. My father says he lives in a box... I think I usually do too, but sometimes I'm outside of it, like lately. I think it's sad to be all boxed up.
firecracker (Mar 22, 2009)
I have a box that looks similar to this, but it's filled with catalogues....not buildings! ha ha! I'm amazed at how you can draw a whole city.....all those buildings...."Wow"!! :)
elly (Mar 22, 2009)
I've heard of ''thinking outside the box'' but never ''living in a box''...hmm...guess you gotta live in a box in order to think outside of it.....duh! (sorry, had my share of wine this eve....) LOL. Great work on all those details and I love your choice of color!
tscott (Mar 22, 2009)
haha! I think all houses are like boxs

Nice job on this one tony. I love those ships
QTgillie (Mar 18, 2009)
very nice tony. I like the colours, the ships and the composition. The ships look quite skilled in accuracy of shapes and parts.

Just curious...do you ever use layers? This does not look like you do. I think your draws would be easier if you did. You can put the sky and water on one layer and the put the boats on top of that layer and then the crashing waves on the third. That way you don't have to draw the sky around the ships. You can always go back to any layer and touch up or add things to them, and you do not have to worry about what is on the other layers. When I first started using them I would get confused as to which layer I was on and draw things I didnt want on the wrong layers but once you get used to them they can really make your drawings look a lot better.

If I am all hosed up on my assumption just ignore me....
tscott (Mar 18, 2009)

QTgillie (Mar 18, 2009)
reminds me of the exebition at our local Science Museum about a year ago or so....called "The Body" It was incredible. An artist used real dead bodies to create interesting poses of the different parts of the human body. One would be just the red veins. Another would be just the skeleton, or the organs, or the circulatory system. If I remember corectly they all had some of the skin/and or musculature but then the other featured body part would be there also and always posed in some artistic manner, such as running. There were some that had been smokers and the damaged looking organs were all there....very gross but beautiful in thier own way. Some were all muscle or all cartilage and bone. It was an amazing exebition. Ok, I have rambled on for way too long now.....have a great day.
