I just wanted to thank you for doing this picture. I've gone through the versions several times trying to learn your technique for doing hair and it's helped so much. The way you saved the versions makes this like a mini tutorial. Thank you!!

Hehe...I might have read the book a little sooner if that had been the cover picture. Nice use of the blue green to emphasize the temperature.
two-na (Jun 14, 2004)
icats, this creates a stream of consciousness that is very interesting to perceive.. good job
fleeting_memory (Jul 27, 2004)

It's just an old pimp with a speech impediment greeting one of his gals."Hi you old hooker" is what it says..This looks kinda like it belongs on the cover of a SciFi novel..
Urei-sama (Jun 13, 2004)

Zack (Jun 8, 2004)
Wow. I have 5 brothers and no sisters, so unless a brother is worth 4 sisters, you have me beat. Do you also get dumb jokes about being able to form your own sports team etc?

Cute pic. I likes the feets.
staci (Jun 8, 2004)
hehe yep zack...now we joke alot about forming our own orchestra, lesse...two play violin, one plays cello, one plays viola, one plays guitar, one piano, and a partridge in a...oh
davincipoppalag (Jun 8, 2004)

He looks great for a dead guy! ..lol You did a really one here.. it really looks like one of those old portraits you find in state houses and such.. very very good.. it looks like oils on wood...
DinoFlorist (Jun 6, 2004)
Hm? I never saw this one before. And you never even told me about it. Shame on you, shame! Becasue you know how overjoyed I am to see old history book style paintings. This is what I wish to paint in real life, you know. And you can do it. >:( I mean, thats great that you can, but I still have to get over my customary jealous rage.

Kasha (Jun 3, 2004)
ewww. that's gross. hehe. Someone online gave me that link and I kept laughing.
I haven't seen any of those bugs in Houston, but we do get June bugs here. :( omg, they are so fat and creepy.
safescene (Jun 3, 2004)
Yuck, june bugs are creepy, Kasha *shudders* They hiss and stuff..man, I hate those things :P

Nifty stuff, Icats. That bug's colors are really vibrant and cool, although I don't believe I'd want one flying around me if they're that huge :P The best part of this entire piece are the cheeks; I love 'em!
misterjimsan (Jun 3, 2004)
oo yea, this is cool
and i love cicadas, so enormous and insanely loud, ah yes, but it's all good for atmosphere on a nice summer day by the lake getting eaten up by mosquitos

These make me happy, too... I had some sprout up under a bird feeder in my yard from the seeds that fell out.. they are blooming now. :)
two-na (Jun 1, 2004)

this looks like a pretty darn good example of how the brushes are in lascaux..nifty job, see ya
emmamommalag (Jun 1, 2004)
Ahhh sunflowers.. very pretty, Icats. I think it's pretty neat how sunflowers always turn their 'faces' to the sun.
davincipoppalag (Jun 2, 2004)
All your stuff makes ME happy. This is a wonderful sunny picture. It has that sort of Van Gogh brightness and life to it.. wonderful
