Adorable so far, is she Asian? Know what you mean by how artists transfer looks. I can somewhat draw faces, but not really capture the essence of how somebody really looks.
shults (Aug 4, 2008)
Yes, she is. the fact that you've asked means that I have to fix something to make it more obvious.. eyes maybe?
another thing, any ideas on how to make her pony (is that how they call it english too?-the front short hair) softener?
BTW, She went out somillar to the ref, my problem is more with her expression.
enjoydotcom (Aug 4, 2008)
Actually, the eyes are what gave the Asian part away. In fact, the entire face is well done. just wasn't sure :D.
I have no clue where you're from (Germany or the Netherlands perhaps?), but I know what you mean by pony, in English it's "bangs". When in doubt, first clone the layer of her hair (if you are using layers) to ensure you don't mess up what you have so far. You could either add real thin whisps of hair, or erase some of the hair already there to make it look more tapered. That is at least what I always do to make it look more natural and soft.

I hate when people state like this, but the truth is that im setting this on finished cause i know there's no way im even trying to do more to her dress..
what's the point? its not fun. it wont lead me anywhere i want. Im content with the result.
oh, and I'd like to get more tips/critiques on her face and her.

I bet you also like it when your lines are distorted. you plan them to be this way.. right?
enjoydotcom (edited Aug 4, 2008)
And this is what happens when you try to be helpful and nice. Sweety, don't get all defensive, it is not a pretty sight.
Sigh, in future I'm gonna let babies muck themselves, just leave anything under the age of 12 alone, little buggers are sucky

Now I comment. This is another masterpiece and I envy your ability to get such realistic skin. It's just amazing. And such a sad expression. I hope nothing bad happened to im. Love this.

And Sia's a great singer. Breath Me is her best.

This one made me momentarily depressed.. this child's imploring for help, and it seems like he's looking at me, accusing me for not helping, or preventing something.
Roy, for pictures like this I visit this site. Almost everytime I log, I check for new roytjes.

I wanted a cup when i started drawing this. I was too lazy to get up and make it, so I googled coffee instead.
Of course, when I started the actual drawing, I HAD to have a cup.. and then I went to have one.

Mmm this looks so appealing! Those warm colours are so pleasant to look at. Could totally do with some coffee myself right now :P...
Miss_DJ (Nov 30, 2007)
this is so nice. love the coffee and the cups look like porcelain. Great textures in here.

This would be perfect hanging in my dream kitchen. I want to redo it with a coffee theme and these colors. Very nice!

description no longer relevant.
A song about a boy, Udi Hamudi, Which means Udi the cutey :)
This boy never stops asking questions. I drew his questions, hence the question marks and the numbers..
Now, can you guess what are the questions?
I'll try to translate it to english in the neatest way I can, but I probably give up and just write the plain questions.

It can be nice to tell amy winehouse to shut up, then silence her, and listen to your mouse click-drawing.
btw- i dont know why, it feels like shi isnt disciplined as it used to.

I don't completely understand where I'm going or what I'm trying to accomplish. I don't think far into the future or anything. Right now I'm not even sure of everything that going on around me. I don't know why I do the things I'm doing. I don't think I'm enjoying myself either. Though I do find enjoyment in little things like sipping a glass of a fine drink at just the right time of day and weather. Or listening to a classic tune while relaxing and smoking some bud in a favourite spot. Will these things help accelerate my growing and learning? Probably not. But I don't know what I'm growing towards so what do I do? I don't know, but I'm really not motivated to find out, or do anything of the sort.

Oh man! This looks awesome! Love the style! Keep them coming! I don't know what it is your trying to accomplish either, but its eye candy to me.
shults (Oct 11, 2007)
Your description made me write a long comment (which eventually I chose to delete) about similar feelings Ive had.. I believed it helped me in some way (cause I got to the future me in all my philosophy) although Im still not sure who i'll become. Anyways, thanks.
Now, as for your art, I liked it, or else I wouldnt have read your description. Red colors and skeleton face contributes its muscular feel. It's like you peeled the skin.. :)
Plus, for some reason, I really like his right elbow. I think its perfect.
