I'm glad you're trying watercolour because I think the medium would lend itself to your style. If you can find it, there is a book by a woman I think you would really like. It's called 'How to Make a Watercolor Paint Itself' by Nita Engle. Thanks for sharing your class paintings. It takes awhile to work out all the properties of the different pigments--transparent, opaque, staining, etc. Then you have to play with working wet in wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, and refine your lost and found edge technique. It's hard and frustrating but also the most fun and magical when it works, IMO.

Mmmm! Nice interplay of the warm and cool colours together! I got the sense of a forest fire. I am liking how you keep the movement and looseness with your paints. Though I can admire the control achieved, I don't find myself liking watercolours that get too 'tight', too detailed. This painting has a nice balance of a little detail with a lot of impression.

So true. And you can add money, in the background, which is the real source of all wars.

For Christ's sake! Just draw a little bit longer! You know damn well you can dish out a masterpiece if you tried. Most of your drawings are almost amazing. But 10 min here, 12 min there. I think you are teasing us. It takes me damn near 10 min to make crap lines. Please, make a masterpiece for us. Stop teasing us.
