Hey, I was wondering, can one see a cup(or any object) as an artwork as well as something to drink out of? Can these two ways of seeing be interchangeable? |

Contest Week 101: 2draw Portrait So, basically draw someone else on the site. it can be anyone, you can ask them for a reference picture or just draw them from imagination! This is just a fun let loose contest, Obviously not everyone will be comfterable giving their pictures away, so please be ginger. Im going to a portrait painting course today and its been like over six months since i drew anything and almost 3 years since i painted anything with oils.. so i came back here to brush up on my skills :P

Wow, this is an amazing drawing. She has one hell of a body that is for sure!!! Love everything about this, especially the tilt of the pelvis as Teapot mentioned. Enjoy your class!! I'm sure you will amaze everyone in your class.

Messing white canvasses up is one of my fears, they're just so perfect in their emptiness.Use a different layer. Also, you can copy the entire layer if that's more comfortable for You. :) Another fear is of pregnancy.. I'm afraid my body would look llike your painting, or worse.. I like it the way it is now. and don't get me starting about giving birth.. :S At least I'm not afraid of being a mom. |

And Pam, I know that the concept behind it is the art, but why? Of all things, why art?
I think some artists were testing the limits, wanted to see how far audience will believe it's art when they name it art. Others discovered it's easier than producing art themselves.
But that's just me, I never attempted in 'getting' all that new art.
