Yea Bell sometime you will tell us why you draw him alll the time.. he cast a magic spell on you?
emmamommalag (Mar 11, 2005)
I think these are scenes from his movies? Whatever they are, you do a great job of drawing him, Katya.

He's not Richard E. Grant, but he is a man.
DarkCloak (Mar 12, 2005)
Man, this is the most awesome bus driver ever! I wish my bus driver had magical powers too! ...just kidding! :P

Nice work, I like the design on his robes.

I have always been entertained by the idea of a parallel universe where machines have no purpose other than to be machines... they would create nothing. It's whole purpose is to just exhist. Many of my day to day doodles contain these things; Spheres, pipes, inanimate objects. The object in this picture piercing the sphere is interwoven lines like the muscles of a human... but takes the shape of something cold and produced.

I think it'd be funny if all the power went out EVERYWHERE... and everyone had to entertain themselves for a change
Supaflypundit (Mar 10, 2005)
I absolutly think that humans are machines... but we are machines in a different way.
shadowcrumb (Mar 10, 2005)
Not to make "light" of your deep concept on this pic, but I like the little drawing of the gas pipe with the water dripping from it. Cute. Oh yeah, I have family that lives in Nampa, I.D. Do you know where that is?
Supaflypundit (Mar 11, 2005)
Yeah man, I live in nampa. I alway list Boise... cause most people hardly even know where Idaho is.

I think you did a great job on the posture and the folds
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Mar 10, 2005)
No, Lori, leave it for like 3 years and wait until the dust bunnies grow teeth.. and there are so many cobwebs that it looks like the Adams Family lives there. and then look at everyone and go, yeah, and you thought I was sitting on my butt doing nothing all this time, didn'tcha? Thought all this stuff just did itself, didn't you? I did that once and it was great fun. :)

I just have to say that I keep coming back to this picture because it's such an original and wonderful idea to draw. Like the kitchen is the heart of the home and everybody collects there.

Gig, I wasn't trying to be mean. I guess it just came out that way. I was just joking. I work a 40 to 60 hour week and my husband is absolutely more domestic than I, so he just does it. But I haven't done housework since 1998. YEAH!!!!!

EDIT: I really like the way your pic came out :) you did a good job. Just thinking about doing dishes makes my back hurt! Hee Hee

My strange MJ drawing.

Amazing how you executed it in this style and it is so unmistakably resembles him. You have a unique talent in that respect.
Childlike_Vampire (Mar 8, 2005)
This is damn scary. It looks almost exactly like one of my highschool history teachers. She was like 35, but she looked at least 50 because she was addicted to tanning.
The left eye kinda makes me wish it was more sharp. Great drawing, the lighting is fantastic. :D
Cordelia_Pink (Mar 8, 2005)
The face looks a bit stretched horizontally somehow. Creepy. Looks pretty good. Definitely has that "child molester" look. BECAUSE HE IS.

Give it a rest, people. MJ is the real thing, he's a culprit. He is guilty. It says in the eyes. If you've seen the part of Martin Bashir's interview of the people who had been involved with him, then you'll realise that MJ is proven wrong.
pulmonq2 (Mar 8, 2005)
Not to mention that the witness list for the trial is ludicrious. >.> Anyway. Very disturbing image Clox. Almost has a woodcarving sort of feel to it. Very creepy :s

I hope it's at least close to what you had in mind for it... I wasn't sure what you wanted me to do to it exactly. It's all on a separate layer if you want to change it or delete that layer. Was fun coloring your sketch.
shadowcrumb (edited Mar 7, 2005)
I think it is very pretty, it reminds me of a Spanish style wedding for some reason. And (Featherstone) I never thought that I would get married either, I was a single mother too, and when my son was 2 years old, I met my husband, he was my nieghbor, I had a boyfriend and he had a girlfriend at the time, so nothing ever came of it, except for a friendship. Then he moved. Two years later we ran into each other and niether one of us were in a relationship, the rest is history. I guess my point is, never assume that it can't happen. Just when you think you have life figured out it can throw you for a loop and all of a sudden life as you know it will never be the same!!! LOVE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! Now my son is 11 years old. :)
emmamommalag (Mar 8, 2005)
It's a lovely picture and the way you colored it looks so pretty.

I'm suddenly imagining all sorts of pick-up lines coming from him... o_o

I like the way it's not just sketchy but also fades out at the bottom and right side, so the guy has the most definement to him.

spiritdweller (Mar 4, 2005)
well..
I don't understand why all these things are coming to me lately... but it's stuff I've either been through or thought about in the past...
this(although I didn't draw it nearly as realistic as it should be).... was what I saw 4 years ago when I closed my eyes.... looooong story... but to make it short, it was about 3 weeks after I'd been in a semi-coma.
I don't know why I feel like I have to get all this out of me, but I do.

Cindy's advice is good.. hope you'll think about it.. 'cause she's right.
spiritdweller (Mar 5, 2005)
Lee, I think about everyone else allll the time, trust me... this is the internet... ya don't see my daily living... this is a time for ME, and I'm gonna take it. I don't think every damned thing I'm doing on here or saying is all about me either. She may be right in some respects, but not right to tell me what to think. I don't feel I need to heal right now anyway... I'm doing ok... if people talked to me more, they might know that
shadowcrumb (Mar 5, 2005)
There is nothing wrong with "ME" time, I am constantly thinking of the wellbeing of others and it becomes mentally exhausting at times, especially when no one else seems to be doing it as well. You NEED the "ME" time just to keep yourself from going crazy!!!! It is always good to think of the ones you love and care for them, but who is going to want to take care of you, if you don't care for yourself first? I think that you are both right, you just have to do alot of balancing. :)
spiritdweller (Mar 5, 2005)
yup, balance is the key... balance is my constant struggle... when you have to be yourself, a mom, a sister, a daughter, a friend, etc... etc... etc... I'm not sure where the balance is... all I know is I do what feels right, and when I screw up, well God help me.
