hey, you really got your style going there... this is a good one, i only think you kind of rushed a bit in the colouring of the head... the white underneath it is still visible...
are you influenced by joan miro? your latest work (in general) looks a bit like some of his (the kind of sureal forms, the flatness, the childish figures, empty backgrounds...) or is it just coincidence?

this is supposed to be on the beginners board, but I wanted a larger canvas size. so if it's moved no prob:)
anyway , I took the family to the fair over the weekend and there was a cartoonist named tom huf who does cartoon versions of people and this was one.... this a drawing of my youngest daughter TAHLIA:)

I just started and wanted to do something simple to get a feel for the tools. Almost had a heart attack when I though I had lost about an hours worth of work and now that I see it again...I'm not really that impressed with myself.

Thanks, I got really tired towards the end and kind of just gave up, but I think from now on I'll just leave them unfinished till I'm satisfied (I only hesitated to do so on this one because it was my first and I'm a perfectionist).

well when you submit.. you get three choices.. Unfinished (hidden) unfinished and finished.. Unless you want comments and suggestions about what else to do on a pic you should be saving them as Unfinished (hidden) anyway. They will be on your user page for revisions etc, until you are ready to post it in the general area as finished.
