I'm gonna go ahead and declare this one finished, as I'm losing interest and my mind is starting to go blaaaaaughh... lol. I know it's still really rough, but I can only stick with a drawing for so long ya know? Plus I have homework to do. Anyway, This is a portrait of my sweetie, Vera. This is my first time on 2draw.net and so this was somewhat of a test, just messing around, seeing how the applet works. It has been a long time since I've tried coloring, and I don't consider coloring my strength particularly (I'm a pencil dude). I read the tutorial on skin tone and that really is what got me pointed the right way. I've never attempted this type of thing before. Huh. Anyway, hope you all like it. Suggestions are fine but I'm usually a hard enough critic of my work as it is. Improvements pending when I'm more awake. |

Self-Explanatory. Enough said. lol My eyes really aren't that big and I don't have elvish ears but I always thought it would be kinda neat. =)The first one I did looked SO bland and puke greenish in color... I thought I'd stick with the usual color and make it more humanoid... =) And I still like adding leaves to it...

different flavors. I can't really pick one over the other. *shrug* Skin tone is clearer but I prefered the hue of the eye in the first version. Also, that "scratchy" look is bothering me in the black areas (over the shirt and in that region it looks good).

I like the statues they build in graveyards. They often build some really nice ones. It is mostly the dead young people and the children who get the most beautiful statues on their tombstones. I once saw a strange looking angel holding a piece of broken glass. I have also heard that some thieves often steal these statues. I heard of a story of a little girl who was not older than 4 or 5 years old when she died and her parents hired a very skillful sculptor to create an extremely accurate and lifesize statue of their little girl with angel wings. And decades after her death, graverobbers stole the entire statue and the parents felt very sad. <:(|XOD|

This is so dramatic it left me in awe. I love how she drapes herself over the pedestal as if she is weeping and lost. You dig deep inside of yourself when you draw and you should continue to do that.
