"Elliot, I don't think he was left here intentionally, but his being here is a miracle, Elliot. It's a miracle and you did the best that anybody could do. I'm glad he met you first."

I was watching tv and this image in an old film struck me as one I wanted to capture.

The subjects are Peter Coyote and Henry Thomas as Keys and Elliot in 1982 Spielberg movie "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial"

Thre reference is currently freeze framed from my TV. I'll see if I can find a comparable shot online.

Married at the Renaissance Faire in Vacaville Oct 15, 2000.
We celebrated our 10th Anniversaire this weekend at the local Ren-faire.
Saw another couple married, walked through the market and witnessed full contact jousting.
It was a blast.

I planned to wait and post this when it was finished but I logged on to see similar entries on the front page.
It was just too coincidental. I figure we should fill the page with smooches and celebration.

When I arrived at the contest page I was in the middle of an article about Igor. I had followed a link from the reference image, a portrait, by Pablo.

I was feeling envious of both artists' courage to challenge the accepted norm and their ability to create.

COMPANION CUBE!!! <3

This was a triumph!
I'm making a note here:
"HUGE SUCCESS!!"

It's hard to overstate
my satisfaction.

Aperture Science:
We do what me must
because we can.

For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

But there's no sense crying
over every mistake.
You just keep on trying
till you run out of cake.
And the science gets done.
And you make a neat gun
for the people who are
still alive.

I'm not even angry...
I'm being so sincere right now-
Even though you broke my heart,
and killed me.

And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you!

Now, these points of data
make a beautiful line.
And we're out of beta.
We're releasing on time!
So I'm glad I got burned-
Think of all the things we learned-
for the people who are
still alive.

Go ahead and leave me...
I think I'd prefer to stay inside...
Maybe you'll find someone else
to help you?
Maybe Black Mesa?
That was a joke! HAHA!! FAT CHANCE!!

Anyway this cake is great!
It's so delicious and moist!

Look at me: still talking
when there's science to do!
When I look out there,
it makes me glad I love you.

I've experiments to run.
There is research to be done.
On the people who are
still alive.
And believe me I am
still alive.
I'm doing science and I'm
still alive.
I feel fantastic and I'm
still alive.
While you're dying I'll be
still alive.
And when you're dead I will be
still alive.

Still alive.

Still alive.
