Why the lines?
blumarine (May 26, 2007)
Whenever I try to use Shi-Painter, I get horizontal lines on my board each time I scroll. This is annoying and messes up my work. Why does this happen? I always prefered PaintBBS but the PaintBBS here don't have many layers like the one from PallidBBS . Can we have that version too? I don't want to register to so many boards.

ok, pretend like you're 8 years old and somebody scribbled and told you to make a picture out of it...if you'd like to participate, let me know, i'll add you as a collaborator and you may add a layer and create a drawing using the images/scribbles present. The next participant will hide your layer, and do their own interpretation of what they see in the scribbles, etc.... i guess till we run out of space. if you would like to, start your own scribble art and add others to keep it going.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 29, 2007)
WONDERFUL.... I think it's as much fun to see what people do with the scribbles as it is to make something out of them myself... thanks for sharing some of your imagination, mooki =]

Yes, nice one :) The background gives it a good depth.
Anna (Jun 2, 2007)
love the colors here
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
Woah, if I saw this hanging in a gallery I'd stop short and look. I love the red shirt, the green background, and I'd think those curlers were decorative hair pins. Little blush on her cheeks. :)

this was really appealing to me...it's going to sound a little 'off the wall'.. but... I have walked along the beach at times when no one else desired to be there... so I was completely alone... usually it's in the rain, or in the cold, or during a torrential storm, sometimes it's just during the blazing heat of the day when everyone is tired and hungry and their kids are sunburned and crying and it's time to go in... they do... and I stay. That's my favorite time. You'd think you would feel alone... because the closest people are closed in the beach houses up the shore, bathing, cooking, laughing, watching tv, or a huge fishing boat that looks like a toy boat a mile out at sea, or a massive oil rig coming into the jetty, but... i don't feel alone. I feel surrounded by 'life'. The ocean is full of life, and so is the shore. That's what I saw in your little painting here... all of the little sand crabs, clams, and the sea shells... they either contain a life or they have a history of life.... each one has a face. Driftwood from a structure completely across the other side of the ocean, stones from buildings far away, there's so much mystery to wonder at.... all in the sand along the shore of the ocean. Everything seems to have a face... 'life'... this is what i see in this painting... so i love it. if it were on canvas i would BUY IT, take it to the beach house and hang it on the wall. There it would need no explanation. ;0

thumbs up on this one, lor =]
mooki (May 26, 2007)

i bet we wouldn't talk quite as much as you think, Lori... when other people are around... I more picture us as making eye contact... knowing what the other is thinking, rolling our eyes simultaneously and giggling alot. =]
