Contest Week 74: Texture! closed for judging In this contest you'll be using the tools available to you to mimic real-life textures and combining them onto unexpected surfaces. Think of it as a contest with a focus on technical skill, but also on originality with what textures you decide to put on what objects. My Chihuahua had puppies last night. i've been up all night and day with her she had a diffacult time. now they're out time to share the cuteness!

So i just got hired to become a caricature artist at Elicthe Gardens down in denver, so i think i should start practicing, but right now i am working on style more than speed. Let me know what ya think

ayyyy ghandi ghandi.i think that you should try putting th setting on pen and a lighter opacity, more pencil like quality. love the head and ears, you can definitly tell its him. i would maybe even exaggerate it more, caricature art is almost like poking fun at people in an arty kinda way

Most of the really good caricaturists seem to have a great eye for the feature or features that are most dominant in the person they are drawing and they accentuate those features in an exagerrated way. How you do that can be funny, or endearing , or even nasty, depending upon what you are trying to accomplish. This looks good to mePEACE

Really nice job on the background, I'd say the actual flower could use a little more work, but it looks good as it is.

I really like the upside down angle you placed the flower....it is quite unusual. The background is nice as well. The shadows you added really makes this picture pop! |

This is very cool, I think if you did a series of these liquor bottles it would be perfect to hang behind a personal bar. I would even hang these in my kitchen. I have always loved unique bottles and this is one that I really like. You do some really nice work. I have been checking out your gallery and it is impressive. |

Such a nice touch. Loving how you got the feel of the ocean surface through that glow of teal. And that fin coming towards us. Great, great stuff.

The shark is magnificant and the water is so realistic it makes me feel like I am scuba diving right next to this fierce creature. Really nicely done. I have always admired artists that can draw such realistic water. |
