the only problem is it doesn't look like a pinball at all... In fact, it looks much more like a bumper in a pinball game than the ball itself. (Which surprises me that everyone thinks it's perfect....)
Try looking at something chrome. It will basically never be grey. example

As for getting perfect shapes, lascaux does have an ellipse tool, or you can just use a really large brush and click once, as it looks like he did here...

Thanks Marcello for the reference pic .besides the obvious( not looking chrome ) I also have to add the reflection of the surface its on, to the chrome ball.

yeah, the cowlick is cool. I was planning on this hair do for this rockabilly concert with Nekromanix. (they kick ass btw) anyways, I liked it. I still do. >:P
