for Him.

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm done". But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the
servant would not dare touch the table, because.......... The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

Jesus is coming back.

Believing everything that can't be proven, and believing in God are two entirely different ideas in my heart and mind. I have a relationship with God that is unmistakably real here and now. I have daily proof in my life that He is...and always was, "I AM."
marcello (Mar 6, 2010)
hard to argue with that. ;)
Flubbles (Mar 6, 2010)
If god really does exist, then who here can conclusively give me evidence i cannot dispute? i'm not saying i dont believe in god, i've just never been given any concrete evidence of his existence.
Axil62 (Mar 6, 2010)
See? You are persuing Him.

very nice draw.....I like it....:)
jekyll (Feb 24, 2010)
I'm sorry, Suntan, but I like the first submission better. I don't think the anatomical correctness of the hand is important here. It's more about what the hand is doing at this moment and where it goes in the next, the slippery skin and the sensual look on her face. You portrayed all of these things very well. I wish you wouldn't act so quickly to the criticism you receive. At least take a day or so to think about it (and make the changes on a separate layer in case you're not happy with them) Make changes if you want to but don't let any of us make you feel like you have to.

nicely 'painted!'

Thank you everybody! This was done by playing around with the settings. I even worked on it in greyscale for a bit. I saw what looked like a pinkish dress and finished it from there. I wish I could do things like this on canvas. Maybe blindfolded?
Suntan (Mar 1, 2010)
Why do you wish you could with your talent?
jekyll (Mar 1, 2010)
I guess what I should have said, Suntan, is that I wish I had the inclination to do such work on canvas. It's one thing to push pixels around to form a drawing like this, but I'm afraid in a paint medium I'd overwork it and think too much about it. ( I'd never know if I was finished or not) I'm not sure I understand this kind of art. I enjoy it when it's done by others but I just don't feel any attachment to my own.
Suntan (Mar 1, 2010)
Get blindfolded then and just go with it. If nothing else, it would be fun. ;p

My uncles got two retired greyhounds, there both pretty chilled out and well behaved, until they see something resembling a hare then they have to chase after it.
backmagicwoman (Sep 6, 2009)
