I like your ideas, but at the same time feel the colors look a bit blotchy (if that is a word), maybe solids first and then adding darker and lighter shades of colors would work better.

This is cute but just OK. The positions and all are very accurate though. I like your style of drawing, I saw your gallery and you have probably done better, but I like the way you draw.
