I have to say I find this pretty much lame. This picture speaks to me. It says "I do not give a shit about my art whatsoever, and I'm a poser anime loser."
canibal_misfits (Nov 3, 2004)

I think he is nice. Draw more like this. <:)|XOD|
bumpinthenight (Nov 3, 2004)
yay for xod... cept I dont agree with him XD oh well... yeah, y'know, it sucks when people spam the farking boards with crap. really... cause this is crap... the least you could do is add a background (a nice one that implies that you put some effort into it, even if it was clicking a button with the fill tool)..... I dont even see how it took 10 minutes... damn. |

I've been curious about this for some time now, and I see stuff everyday that makes me wonder more. How do moderators deem things unacceptable, or deletable, even not-decent? Is there a quality guide they follow; a link that takes them to ''How to Judge an Oekaki'' or something? I've seen art here that makes me wonder. The beginner board being a prime example. Specific people draw pictures that take 10 minutes or less, and they're just a bunch of colors and shapes ma...

It might be, it might not. He's improved in such a short time, it's hard to believe.
seaanemone (Nov 2, 2004)
dude i was there to help him on his coloring... you shouldn't be so mean... i just hope he remembers what i told him on his next drawing. -.-

Hey, I've just seen this ... I think it's great! I love the Bart Simpson look on that guy's face, lol. Art is about more than drawing lines, it's about imagination, verve, style, panache... all sorts of things. Technique can be learned, the rest can not.

I didn't know what to draw and I was thinking about storms, so I dreww this. (first drawing)

Work much harder on your pictures. For starters, try not to use the shape tool so much. While Lascaux Sketch is the recommended applet, it is not wise to start out with it. Start with something much simpler, like PaintBBS.

okay thank you for the adice i did'nt know what to do i'll try harder on my next picture.

A baeutiful day at sea....staring off into the endless horizon...
furyofroy (Nov 2, 2004)
I think you need to spend more time on your pictures. This looks fine right now, but if you added more dimension to the sea and the clouds, it would look a whole lot better. |

Well, I guess this is my best work yet. I'm getting better at this ^_^ Do you like it?
me007 (Oct 17, 2004)
see now this is looking alittle better.. u should just experiment with the tools a bit more, play around with the applet to get a feel for it and then your pictures will come out even better, another thing you might wanna try is to not use such thick lines for everything, like use thinner lines for the things in the background and use thicker, but more detailed lines in the foreground.. hope that helps
SilverEntei (Oct 17, 2004)
Thanks. I added shadows, blurs, and shading. I was doing that so much I actully made the time limit!!!BTW, I like thick lines, but maybe I SHOULD try not-so-thick lines. I did more shading and added his swimming trunks ^__^
furyofroy (Oct 17, 2004)
You should also try not using the "fill-in" tool. It's a bad habit. |
