This is really cool....I luv it!! Actually, I like all the abstracts that you all are doing here.....it seems to be very addictive.....more people are getting 'into' doing these! I might just give it a try....I might....I'm still not sure though...I'm just thinking about trying it....'lol' I finally figured out what looking at all of these abstracts reminds me of....it took me awhile to figure this out.....looking at these abstracts reminds me of looking into a 'kaleidoscope'....I used to look into a 'kaleidoscope' when I was a kid......I wonder if they still make them....'lol'
I luv your abstracts DaVinci......you're on a 'roll'.....keep up the good work!! :)

Great skin tones! Is her belly button pierced?
estelleparson (Apr 4, 2015)
yeah, great flesh and skin; which is not that easy, as skin and flesh tones vary around the world, and there are many tones unrelated; notice the gray areas?flesh covers the whole rainbow of coloring, even blue and green under the right circumstances. flesh is one of the hardest things to paint.--and also one of the richest, if you note great figure-painters thru history.I used to ignore YELLOW TONES, but now i have to admit, many skins have them.and we very white people are challenging to paint, as we have RUDDINESS to over come. (and ruddiness in our faces, which is why we very white folks have to make-up towards golds, oranges, coral, apricot.--to nullify redness.)When summer comes, i still take out the gold makeup, and oranges.(not much make up, i'm too old, hah.)good painting!!

It's amazing how differently the colors respond to those various alternate settings and what results from that..

you really have made a break-through, and matured to brillance in this style. One of these needs to go in the show place.

well look at her tutorial and try one!
mudbutt (Apr 10, 2015)
They really are easier than they appear, especially when you get the hang of it.
estelleparson (edited Apr 11, 2015)
ha ha very groovy, man; i'll look at yer tutorial, would i like some of these as prints on fabric!!(say, does anyone know how to get an old art program called "photo-paint"? i9 think it is. reminds me of this, the difference button goes black/color contrast.
firecracker (Apr 12, 2015)
I might do that....I'll look at her tutorial, and if it doesn't look too complicated....I might give it a try. If I don't like it....then I'll delete it!! 'lol' :)

aw not very crummy at all! your space pics are really interesting, the things you come up with.... almost.... just almost..... makes me feel like you know something about the great unknown up there :)
firecracker (Apr 9, 2015)
This is super cool....I likey!!! I really like the big green planet, and I luv the space ship.....makes me think of 'Star Trek'.....I can just picture 'Mr Spock' inside that space ship....exploring the universe!! How did you get all those 'billions' of stars in there??....it's really cool!!!
Nice one DaVinci!! :)
davincipoppalag (Apr 9, 2015)
The stars are courtesy of the texture sliders.. you use that upper one on the left..this one is the lower one just BARELY moved and then the screen was filled.. and this is how it shows up
firecracker (Apr 10, 2015)
That's really cool....I haven't been drawing in 'lascaux' for such a long time.....I've forgotten how the tools work there....I don't remember the texture sliders at all. Thanks for the 'info' DaVinci.....I'll have to try drawing there again someday....:)
