bury the past
featherstone
(Mar 6, 2005)
first title that came to mind... so maybe I should shove all my old memories and thoughts in a couple containers and bury 'em out in the woods...
emmamommalag (Mar 6, 2005)
Those are too pretty to bury... I'd use an old cardboard box.
featherstone (Mar 7, 2005)
I'd rather bury a good portion of my past than put a time capsule together and bury the future.
emmamommalag (Mar 7, 2005)
You can't really bury either one. What's done is done and the future hasn't happened yet.
featherstone (Mar 7, 2005)
yeah I know...I just see it as a way of letting go... I could care less if a bunch of creepy bugs in the ground devour all the bad that I've been through for the last 17 years... far as the future... well... who even knows. 'nuff said.... time for lunch. |

does the past make us, or do we make the past?
featherstone (Mar 7, 2005)
it's a little bit of everything... depends on the people who have come into your life, where you've been, what you've been through, and how much you decided to ignore and how much you decided to learn from... it's good to reflect on the past sometimes but as my father would say, "everything in moderation"... too much of anything is never a good thing
emmamommalag (Mar 7, 2005)
That's a favorite saying of mine, too. His parents probably said it to him as mine did to me. I really miss them. |

featherstone (Mar 7, 2005)
um yeah.. I would think it would
emmamommalag (Mar 7, 2005)
He must be the victim from your previous pic? You surely are good at these sketches.
Kasha (Mar 7, 2005)
teehee, you rock. I really dig these sketches.

My strange MJ drawing.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 7, 2005)
Amazing how you executed it in this style and it is so unmistakably resembles him. You have a unique talent in that respect.
Childlike_Vampire (Mar 8, 2005)
This is damn scary. It looks almost exactly like one of my highschool history teachers. She was like 35, but she looked at least 50 because she was addicted to tanning. The left eye kinda makes me wish it was more sharp. Great drawing, the lighting is fantastic. :D
Cordelia_Pink (Mar 8, 2005)
The face looks a bit stretched horizontally somehow. Creepy. Looks pretty good. Definitely has that "child molester" look. BECAUSE HE IS. Give it a rest, people. MJ is the real thing, he's a culprit. He is guilty. It says in the eyes. If you've seen the part of Martin Bashir's interview of the people who had been involved with him, then you'll realise that MJ is proven wrong.
pulmonq2 (Mar 8, 2005)
Not to mention that the witness list for the trial is ludicrious. >.> Anyway. Very disturbing image Clox. Almost has a woodcarving sort of feel to it. Very creepy :s |

So, basically that means.... I'm either high or low or somewhere in between. Where are you on the compass?
Shanghai (Mar 7, 2005)
It's an interesting concept. I'd thinking it'd be better if some of the letters didn't go off the page though.
featherstone (edited Mar 7, 2005)
maybe I'll do another one sometime... I'm tired today..... I'm curious to know who's part of the W.E. in the middle... and who's not
Shanghai (Mar 7, 2005)
I'm never sure where I am anymore. |

Thanks, Aubsy. I think there was a balloon floating around in the movie, It, also. Wish I hadn't thought of THAT!
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)
another Jake newsflash... lol.. tell me to shutup.... his last birthday I went out and bought a dozen helium balloons... struggled like a bitch to get them home, while the dog was in the car too.... tied 'em to the mailbox.... went to get the mail later.... they were gone.... dammit... lol
emmamommalag (Mar 6, 2005)
Awww.. you didn't use the right kinda knot. Or somebody liked those balloons and took 'em home.
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)
it was a crappy tie job, yup... but they celebrated somewhere up there... haha |

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's comin' up.
emmamommalag (Mar 6, 2005)
So do I.. my oldest son is Patrick.. and he took his first steps alone on St. Patrick's Day, which I thought was quite fitting. lol
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)
aww precious :) it's definitely a lucky name... Jake refuses to be called Jacob... wants only Jake... that makes me giggle
emmamommalag (Mar 6, 2005)
You probably call him Jacob when he's in trouble, is why. ;)
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)
sometimes, lol... but no, he flat out told me, "Mumma.. I don't like the name Jacob, why'd you name me that"?... lol...sigh |

I don't know how this happened. His face turned inside out so I went with it.
davincipoppalag (Mar 1, 2005)
Inside out , eh? Looks like an etching
Aubrey (Mar 6, 2005)
Hmmm kinda weird it is. He's smiling but looks like he was recently stabbed?
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)

A long time spent playing/experimenting with tools as apposed to actually drawing. The only reason I saved it was because I wanted to watch the animation in fast mode.
featherstone (Mar 6, 2005)
there is nothin' wrong, I don't think, with playin' and experimenting... gives ya ideas for pics to come
TheCrimsonKing (Mar 7, 2005)
Interesting animation that was. |
