twin peaks!! really good painting.the yellows make it cheerful and light. THE FACE IS really nicely done!! wow.

(life is way too complicated now, true, there were advantages to yester-year, simpler times had less STRESS.SURE, TECHNOLOGY IS GREAT, BUT man himself is still too primitive and animal-based to handle it. our homo sapiens hasn't changed to keep up with tech; we're still the human who farmed, went by the seasons, had religions, superstitions, and lived by our instincts. Homo sapiens is just not ADVANCED, EVOLVED, to keep up with his sciences. )thus, we still need simpler times as this picture illustrates. GREAT PICTURE!!

Great skin tones! Is her belly button pierced?
estelleparson (Apr 4, 2015)
yeah, great flesh and skin; which is not that easy, as skin and flesh tones vary around the world, and there are many tones unrelated; notice the gray areas?flesh covers the whole rainbow of coloring, even blue and green under the right circumstances. flesh is one of the hardest things to paint.--and also one of the richest, if you note great figure-painters thru history.I used to ignore YELLOW TONES, but now i have to admit, many skins have them.and we very white people are challenging to paint, as we have RUDDINESS to over come. (and ruddiness in our faces, which is why we very white folks have to make-up towards golds, oranges, coral, apricot.--to nullify redness.)When summer comes, i still take out the gold makeup, and oranges.(not much make up, i'm too old, hah.)good painting!!
davincipoppalag (Apr 19, 2015)

For a split second, when I looked at the thumbnail, I thought the man in black was getting frisky with the horse.
lori (Apr 4, 2015)
lol yeah, I tend to wonder about those two men with the top hats.... and also the man with the bright green shirt who's patting the horse's bum lol
estelleparson (Apr 4, 2015)

Were you born on May, 19, 1234?
lori (Mar 19, 2015)
I'll be honest and just say, it's pretty damn cool as a thumbnail :)
firecracker (Mar 19, 2015)

Obviously I don't work in Lascaux enough to do much of anything. Guess that's why I always turn back to chibipaint. Only time I could get color to work in this one was when I did the border....and I can't add text to the title or description lines the first time I submit. I have to go back to edit..lol..oh well, fun anyway :)

version 5 is the set of thinner lines coming down with colors done in the same order but again with the brush set on difference.. play around see what you get when you do it.. add it blur and sharpen and dodge and burn and all that and see what happens
davincipoppalag (Apr 1, 2015)
drawn in 59 sec
version six shows what happens when ya add circles.. the first ones were set on blue but "difference" the second red still on "difference" it makes all kinda cool stuff
davincipoppalag (Apr 1, 2015)

last version shows what happens with light green squares set on "difference"
