I forgot to say that what really initially attracted me to this is the shadow and highlight effect you used with your "signature" earthtone palette, I love it. You should do this same thing in a serious piece sometime, it's really effective.

'Off' eyes or not, you did a tremendous job on the skin and smoke. I even like the eyes and lashes, that what we can see of it.

I like this so far. Nice clean lines, good solid shading. I say your doing pretty good with a mouse.
But I hope you get a tablet. Maybeperhaps.... as a present? Doesn't hurt to ask.

She reminds me of someone. A singer from the 80's.
Her left (on our right) jaw seems to be swooping out to much, if you just shaved it in a bit.
Great highlights on the lips and eyes.

Both of the revisions are really good. The depth in this one, not just from the background but, from the face and everything in the bird is really cool. Almost feels alive.
