Darn, I have been drawing for quite a while on this stage, almost two hours. And now it won't submit. This sucks...First I see PNG then LSD (not the drug) and then it returns to the drawing. Solved the problem myself, don't know if it was a fluke or science. I removed redundant layers (I sometimes copy layers to make sure I have a back-up to experiment with). And unfloated the drawing. Figured that with my new laptop I would have plenty memory to work on bigger canvasses.

I see where you're coming from. :D Somebody once asked me to make something for her. That kind of pressure on a great hobby is not nice.

Contest Week 90: Blue Silence Paint something using only a blue color palette (any and all variations of the color blue). The subject of your work should convey silence (in meaning, do not write the word in your painting). No photo references are to be used, just use your imagination. I'm going back to basics with these next few contests, perhaps someday we'll try something a bit more challenging, like the Rockwell contest. Great textures and I love her ankle bone. I see it's unfinished, so I'd make one suggestion, that is to fix the knee angle. (Or maybe you're still gonna do that). Wonderful work!

so I can finally comfortably draw with my left hand again, as I grew up doing... I wanted to be able to draw, as on a tablet, but not have to look up at the screen while using the tablet, and this enables me to do so, I think, from what I read anyway ... here it is: thoughts on it? and I couldn't find a price anywhere on it.. how much do you think it goes for? edit: oh I found the price.. haha.. Man, oh man. Haha, first off, I really hope I'm posting appropriately here. Not entirely sure if this should be beginner or intermediate or what. Do let me know what's up on that subject. Anyways, hopefully I can contribute to the joint, whole damn lot of talent here for sure. SO UH... HI GUYS. YEAH. :D

Background will be done. Also, I have a specific question to put forth on the hat. Are black lines rad, or would someone like to see a little more work with the colours to define the texture? I really wasn't sure which I would prefer myself, hence both sorta going on there. And at least half the time spent was just fiddling with Lascaux and sketching to warm up, so ignore the hour 30 on that. D:

Lavender is such an awesome, manly color.

No reference, I started a different one before, but Lascaux tragically failed on me :(. Was ready to throw in my hat, but blue is a great color and snow and clouds a joy to draw.

I can see some illustrative qualities in this painting, there seems to be an emphasis on brilliance of color, which a certainly a hallmark of Rockwell's style. Coloring black and white photos is a fun process, I particularly enjoy it myself. Rockwell painted from b/w photos through a good portion of his career, ones that he painstakingly composed himself using neighbors and friends as subjects. The composition in this painting certainly works and fits the subject matter, this was a good photo to paint. The two figures are looking in nearly opposite directions which really opens up the painting. Good work and thanks again for entering.

Very nice drawing QT it must 've been a true challenge turning a b/w photo into a color painting. I think it is a big pity we were the only two who tried our hand at this contest.
