Dear Layton,

Something horrible happened last night. Remember how I was tending Lady Worthington for the past week? She delivered today. Oh God, it was like nothing I've seen. It had no shape and once it...it...slid out of Lady Worthington, its tentacle-like appendage wrapped around her neck in a childish embrace... it had a gleam in its eyes like it was enjoying its meal, chirping and squealing over the muffled screams. I don't think we'll be able to recognize Lady Worthington anymore.

I hope I survive long enough to give this to the mailman. The way it looked at me told me I won't be living lo

This ghost looks more like one that would say HAW HAW HAW than the murderous tentacled mutant baby that is has been made out to be. Stop the stereotypes!

V
enamoredumbass (May 19, 2006)
"Voilą! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-ą-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

my more than lacking rendition of this amazing character

I was just looking at this, how weird is that? It's well done, I'm loking at a ref plugged into my own computer.
enamoredumbass (May 19, 2006)
let's just hope you didn't turn anything off doing that... :]
Sweetcell (May 19, 2006)
Nah, I have one of those new computers that have front plate plugs for a mike, camera, headphones, and my tablet, so I didn't have to unplug anything or bend at an un-natural angle.

Yeah! Haha...I'm a huge sharpie fan, and so is one of my favorite artists. Can't wait to see it done.
If you want check him out: Tom Sachs. He actually made his own replica of a sharpie, and you can buy the Tom Sachs edition. Its pretty awesome.
Anyway the colors look just about perfect.

Great job on this... I like the perspective and the highlights, and yes, lettering is a huge pain but you did just fine.
davincipoppalag (May 18, 2006)

I see you used the Anti-Alias... Or not? If used, good ^^. But do you used the fill tool? Do not use it. Use a normal pen on a layer below the lineart layer. Very cute draw.
