wow, beatniks for sure, groovey, man; and I just saw that new movie about the Beat Poet, who ran with Ferrlinghetti,and wrote "Howl." Yeah, that's the new movie, "Howl". It was pretty good. Nice cartoon. "Hyphy"??? like, "hyper?" "hyphenated"? "hyper" would infer" all revved up,and stirred up." It's the precursor to "manic stage."

Strangely enough, my sister has an area rug in her dining room that has a pattern very similar to this....also cats never learn..that's why curiosity killed the cat...:-)

Marvelous, you use the least amt. of paint, or color, to express so much. "Very Dan-ish"??Any cheese-danish?? Scandinavian? Ya,vole!! Yep, really good.

I'm sorry, unfinished, maybe finish later, (my right arm is killing me, ouch,gotta rest it,or put ice on it, ouch); yeah,kinda the black cloud of Xmas I am under this time, each year gets worse. When you're older, or you've just got PTSD over yer Xmases, you get to dread them. Years ago, my best friend and roommate died from AIDS, 3 days after New Years. We knew it was coming, but it was bad anyhow. My family always had horrible Xmases, too. I stopped celebrating them, and only observed Chanukah (the other part of my family) which helped a lot. I'm just NOT Christian. I do send presents, and cards, but, frankly, Xmas has always been a big black cloud, for me personally. I do not think this illustrates it well, but I'll experiment some more( put ice on my arm.) I think this is a good subject, thanks for doing it. :) I really think this is a KID'S holiday, does anyone see it that way??? (curious)

I hope it's a nice day for you. We are low key this year..wife still in the hospital recovering from surgery last Thurs.. expect she will come home Weds...and go back next week for plastic surgery. She's a friend of Bill's too.

Bill saved my life,and also my sister's. I guess we're all lucky to have such a friend; Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all of you, all best,and good health for the new year!! :)"Black Cloud Xmas"(finished) I'm happier with this version;did not expect that showing a black cloud drawing me into depression,at xmas,would be so hard to illustrate,but it was.This version is a little more what I was trying to say.But,it was tough!

Nice sketch; yeah, "how did we get here?why?what happened,when we were headed the other direction,but Fate had other plans??" shit. I've known so many people, who said, "Gee, I was trying to go to landscaping business school, but the family got sick,and I had to quit school,and go to work to support my brothers."So, no landscaping, this poor guy is driving a crummy cab. And i did not want to tell him, just about the same thing happened to me,and most of the people I've known.

Just took about one and an half hour to paint so I could mix a lot of stuff on the canvas, and not on the palette(=hell)
