I like how this is coming. If you did some reds and dark blues on his clothing it would look cool. Maybe add a cape. Then do like a smokey background...I think that would look nice!any tips?

Well good job for a first try. I would suggest next time make the reflection a little bit different, like make it wavy, like the water is moving. And use a blending brush on the different color purples.
