HolyCow (Oct 3, 2007)
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
the regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin
He say, Son can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes
Da da da de de da
da da de de da da da
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright

Oh, my man Billy. Beautiful painting, very smooth. I can almost feel the cold hardness of the keys beneath my fingers.

There goes my chains, did you see them falling?
There goes this feeling that has no meaning.
There goes the world off of my shoulders.
There goes the world off of my back.

Quasimodo has been my theme this semester.

I love this. Sorry I hadn't mentioned early. Your shading is terrific. I would quibble on the hand position, but I am a pianist, and it's close enough. :)

Can I ask, why did you choose to add those 'windows in her head'? (-Vinci's words)
Roytje (Oct 6, 2007)
Because she needed one. :)
Kloxboy (Oct 6, 2007)
Roytje: Well said "Because she needed one." Some pieces are best left to interpretation. Cool piece broski.

Thank you, this one looks more like I paint with brushes, but to draw with a mouse is more difficult than it seems.
dark_angel (Sep 24, 2007)
yeah at first it is hard to draw with a mouse but you get use to it, jus takes practice, that's all i use and i've improved alot since i first started on here.
Ruggi (Sep 26, 2007)
Love the eyes, the cheeks, the nose, and the curled chin... lol! It's just the lips that I can't get adjusted to...! :o)
Alba (Oct 2, 2007)

I don't know how, but a separate drawing made its way into this once the applet loaded.

Gretchen is this girl I've met a few times. She's very attractive to some(me), but she's absolutely crazy.

Last week I had the strangest dream, where everything was exactly how it seemed.
Where there was never any mystery of who shot John F. Kennedy.
It was just a man with something to prove. Slightly bored and severly confused.
He steadied his rifle with his target in the center and became famous on that day in november.

to me it's impressive that you've got the two figures in the background out of focus but without looking like you totally harrassed the blur tool. I guess there's just a really good balance between them and the sharp foreground. Coolio PS.
lori (Sep 25, 2007)
fabulous drawing ps
PS (Sep 26, 2007)
Thanks, guys. I guess the thing with the blurry background is to not add too much detail to the things that are going to be out of focus (stay with bigger strokes and stuff), then it looks much more natural when you blur them.
dark_angel (Sep 26, 2007)
awesome work love it!! :)
