It looks like an afro to me. I like that face. Another good one, zep. :)
davincipoppalag (Jun 21, 2004)
Such character in that face. I like the mirror image of the other character... and the elephant in the bg.. nice
emmamommalag (Jun 21, 2004)
Oh wow! This pic has certainly changed. It's very interesting and different. Yes, the face has a lot of character. I like this a lot. |

Having spent the afternoon trying to paint watercolours in a cold wet garden I thought Id cheer myself up! (may rework it later....) OOPS! tried- but I have reached my limit!
cmb (Jun 20, 2004)
Thanks all! Yes Please longway! I would really like that.... how do you go about it? You might have to start it cos I probably wont be on much during the week....
DMV (Jun 20, 2004)
Very good CMB:) so colorful ...I can't wait to see you and longway collab :)
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
You start the pic..and post what you have done in the collab board..then you can add whoever you want to have access for the collab in the box that opens at the bottom.. beautiful colors!

I saw a drawing today where someone had used red and blue to differentiate foreground and background, the image was of a couple kissing- although not exactly like this. It seemed that the style would work as a computer drawing where you could regulate the strength of the colours accuratley. I think the red seems to flaot forward- but only sometimes- so this half worked....
emmamommalag (Jun 20, 2004)
That red/blue effect is kinda neat. Version 2 does look better. Funny how a couple small modifications change so much. Interesting picture. I guess there were no vacancies? lol
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
Well HE looks a bit stiff (slaps self for that one).. I like this idea cmb.. it makes a very interesting image.

space is cool
cmb (Jun 19, 2004)
nice sprinkled feeling.... I dont know if you could have varied the colours slightly- for red giants and white dwarfs perhaps? Maybe you should try a spiral or barred galaxy next...
Shmoopy (Jun 19, 2004)
Very interesting, but is it really worthy of the Intermediate level board? O.o Just wondering.
Shmoopy (Jun 20, 2004)
I was just wondering, sc. No need to get all bent out of shape.
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
Not bad.. take a look in Fin_beasts gallery and in shudsons.. |

Line from the song "Imagine"
emmamommalag (Jun 19, 2004)
Looks like Cher after the nose job but before the rest of her restructuring. I like the colors and the shine.
Knockoff (Jun 19, 2004)
Wow, I really like the angle you put the face at.The lips are nicely done. Jah, the colors rock.
cmb (Jun 19, 2004)
I tipped my head back and looked in a small mirror on the wall to try and work out shading- anatomy etc- trouble is when you are short sighted and wearing heavy glasses its difficult to quite get it right- lol!
Axil62 (Jun 19, 2004)
I think it's good. |

40 and Over Vision WearWear these and you'll be able to: -Alienate and be alienated by younger generations. -New styles of music will make you feel ill and very disturbed. -Refer to the "good old days" once or twice a day. -Reject anything that poses a threat to your routine. -Be skeptical of new ideas, feel threatened by change. -Remind anyone younger than you that "you know better". People will notice something different, something older about you, but what could it be? Just tell them "I just got me a new pair of 40 Vision's! They're Swell!" BUT remember, you don't have to put them on ...although, if you don't, you won't fit in and even worse...you won't be swell.
davincipoppalag (Jun 18, 2004)
My philosophy on that is, if you keep your toys and an appreciation of toys, you won't ever get "old" in your mind.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 18, 2004)
how comical, and yet, how true. I think most of the time I wear my "16" vision glasses... I'd like to stay just terminally in a permanent childhood. You know what this made me think of, Clox? You are still in your twenties, right?... when I was twenty-something my Grandmother told me that somewhere around thirty my "eyes" would behave like a snake shedding it's skin and I would see everything in the world so much more clearly. At the time I didn't understand what she was talking about, but sure enough, around 30 something happened and I did view things with more wisdom and understanding. Don't you think that would make a great drawing? A person with snake-skin eyes peeling off? It isn't something I could draw, but I bet you could do it! (please? :)
cmb (Jun 18, 2004)
Whoo hoo! I can wear a pair of 44's now!
Aubrey (Jun 18, 2004)
Agreed on the toy issue! You're only as old as you feel, and most people feel like kids again when they have a toy even if they're 90. If ya ever hand an old lady a doll she had as a kid I bet she could remember everywhere she played with it growing up. Time makes you age.. but the kid in you stays forever. hmm guess they don't have 21's.. dernit.. ah well, I can wait a few months for the 22's |
