-vandelism of natures property-

I've been thinking of ideas for t-shirt designs...ones that make a point...this was one of them, not quite how i originally thought of it. but something i read helped influence this image. "If somehow, someday, man learns how to control and sell the air we breathe, the poor had better learn to hold their breath."- buy now....saved later by one minute silence.

I like this. I like pictures with a mesasge. It's a pretty awesome conceptual idea
emmamommalag (Aug 6, 2004)
Interesting idea. I like the picture.. there's lots to see in there.
Aubrey (Aug 6, 2004)
that is a cool idea, it's pretty bad when the mother earth has to wear an oxygen mask to get away from the smog. That idea of yours reminds me of the movie Arnold Swartzennegar was in about the trip to mars and all and when he got there the rich guy was holding all the oxygen for his own company and selling it to the people. they had to work in order to breath and when they wanted to revolt he just turned the fans off with the air so they would die. Scary thought that someone could actually do that someday.

Hi Brainspiller
There is meaning to life....If there wasnt any, a baby or even our pets wouldnt have reason for us to look after them. Looking after other people and caring for others rather than ourselves has great meaning and purpose.
Your painting might have meant a great deal to someone (or even the little poppie flowers painting did to my grandmother)or as the Sisteen chapels(excuse spelling) painting did to many viewers. The artists had meaning to life-their meaning might have been unknown to themselves, but unkowingly had meaning to the viewers. So dont look less at your own importance than you should.

have a nice day:)

i agree, there is a meaning TO life because we made it that way, we make reasons for why we do things whether or not we know what the reasons are. But that isn't what i'm saying. I'm simply saying that there isn't a meaning OF life, our purpose is just simply to live as who we are, anyways To and of is 2 completely different aspects. blah! There is no meaning behind why we're here, but there is a meaning behind why we do the things we do. well thats my philosophy, it has nothing to do with importance of people.

its not quite finished, theres something odd about it that needs sorting out...i think its the background personally, plus the face doesn't look like the person its supposed to be! oh well probably needs that gawky look the guy always seem to has. i dunno

Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful?
Hopefully, but that is really not material. There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian), that made no difference. You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated. There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests). (http://www.nazis.testimony.co.uk/7-a.htm). Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis, as the 6 million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom heard of anything other than the Jewish atrocities. Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy about killing anyone who got in his way of exterminating the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian or any others. Same with the Muslim terrorists. They focus the world on the US, but kill all in the way - their own people or the Spanish, French or anyone else.. [5] The point here is that just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing - by their own pronouncements - killing all of us infidels. I don't blame the peaceful Muslims. What would you do if the choice was shut up or die?

I saw this guy perform at the irish centre (archway) in london a couple of months ago, including some other totally awesome poets. The general atmosphere that day was amazing. ShortMAN gave me one of his postcards with his picture on it, i thought it looked really good so I felt like drawing it on here. Its not exactly the same, but close enough.

i think it's great... good job
ChimeraNell (Jul 27, 2004)
I agree with LEELEE, I think it's great. It is a tad pixelie, but that doesn't make it bad. ^_^ I love his hair, awesome job!
JackSprat (Jul 27, 2004)
Awesome paint! I love how you've captured it wih just a few color changes. Very nice.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jul 27, 2004)
I kind of like the 'pixeliness' of it, and the way it looks like it was just "splashed" there - has lots of energy without being contrived. A poet would love it.

Its an old guy in civilisation. fairly tatty, needs a shave. I wasn't sure on what to draw but seeing as i'm fairly ok at drawing old people i thought i'd draw this!
