haalp! revising a drawing
pokey (Feb 20, 2010)
i want to revise a previous version of an image. is this even possible? the image i want to revise is made in shi-painter. i checked it in the wiki -- maybe i overlooked it? (and no, i do not want to click the undo button until i reach the previous saved version. it works, but ... uh... i waste enough time as it is. lol. ) thanks in advance. :)

I keep coming back to look at this. It reminds me of something but I can't figure out what. Have you ever seen any of those really gorgeous old handpainted porcelain tiles, like from the Victorian era? I can see this as a tile or even a mosaic or stained glass piece. Lovely.
backmagicwoman (Feb 28, 2010)
Thank you so much...I have seen those before..they are very beautiful..

well, if you lived near me.....all you would be doing is shoveling snow.....I have to go out and shovel every day.....and it just keeps on snowing. I shoveled for about 3 hours today, and it's snowing again.....so I'll be shoveling again tomorrow...."lol"......I too, miss "laughter in the sunshine".....:)

As long as there was no piss or mustard on it, I'd hang this on my wall. I like Toggenburgs and Nubians mostly. I just bought the best jar of mustard ever. It's President's Choice le Choix de Président dijon (we have to say everything twice here--once in English and once in Quebecois--which you'll already know if you watched any of the Vancouver Olympics) It's as hot as wasabi. But you can only get it at The Super Store out west or Loblaw's down east.

I love that Inglehoffer Sweet Hot mustard..that stuff is soo good...but it will definitely scorch your sinuses if you get to much at one time...my husband took me to this place one time on our way back from Key west..it was in Jensen Beach called Mrs. Peters smoked fish..and they had the best honey wasabi mustard dip I have ever eaten..I keep telling him we need to go back there because their fish is really good too.

I dont mind the dodge and burn in this pic, i think she used them well without over doing it.
elly (Feb 26, 2010)
I tend to use dodge and burn in about every draw I do somewhere or another...can we say obsession?? lol! I do overuse them and I'm trying to tone it down a bit...I'm only in my 2nd step of the 12 step program for dodge and burn addicts =) LOL! Thx for the comments =)
Zero_Lemons (Feb 26, 2010)
I just want to hold it in my hands, it's so cute! I really love the details of the feathers. I think your use of dodge and burn is effective for this as a whole :)

Reminds me of a road near home 'Apple seed lane' it is lined with loads of crab apple trees that flower at the same time, the smell is so scrumptious just like this drawing.
elly (Feb 25, 2010)
Thank you, LORI!! And Thank you, Tumblin'up =) I have a flowering crab apple tree in my back yard that'll be in full bloom come spring! Can't wait for that delicious smell!!! (don't look forward to the bee's tho...)

blew a whistle lately,no one did anything, passed the buck,so a dangerous bus is on the road, according to my source, and no one is doing anything, cause retarded people are "not important."that's govt. for you,it just does not work much.Oh,and Oregon now has a sales tax,and did not even know it voted it in.Fraud.wow.

"lolz".....you should draw an "oompa loompa" "BMW".....that would be cool......they are so cute...haha!! :P
Purplemartin (Feb 26, 2010)
Glad you blew the whistle, hope there is some change! It is all about money. Around here they keep catching embezzlers, those committing fraud, and they are all with social service agencies. Scary stuff, and the clients sink through the cracks, while they rip off the government and use the money for other things instead of serving the clients. A new sales tax in this economy? Is your state INSANE?

I like to lick mustard off people, does that count?

We used to have a replica of this painting in our library growing up, scared the crap outta me when I was in there late at night. This does look a lot like it, you sure put a lot of time in your work, I don't know how you spare so much.
backmagicwoman (Feb 26, 2010)
Spicy brown, regular or honey?
firecracker (Feb 26, 2010)
"lolzzz".....I'm sure glad that I don't like mustard.....:P
