I love doing landscapes as well as seascapes so I thought I'd do one for you Sweetcell. I hope you like it. Reference taken from an Anton Gutknecht oil painting (but with elly changes=)

Oh, that's pretty. So like a beautiful watercolor, hard to do in lascaux. Thank you so much for this Elly. What would you like me to draw. (don't say water I've tried a droplet 3 times and it keeps coming out muddy) but anything else I'll try. *smoochies*

I wanted to comment on this for SO long and I waited for wayyyy too long to do so. I apologize. Tonight I was trying to find it to finally comment on it and I had trouble locating it. Which doesn't make sense to me since this is really beautiful and I would totally put it up in a frame in my house. And now I'm just blabbing. Because it's almost four am and I haven't slept yet. So I apologize yet again for my complete incoherence and I'll probably come and delete this post tomorrow because I sound like a blithering idiot.

But regardless. I love this painting.

Actually the hand is right. It's a pose I've drawn many of times and she got it straight. I think what people are being confused about is the position of the elbow, it looks like it's facing us when in fact it's slightly behind the connecting forearm and upper arm. All that needs to be done is some lines just a little over the point of the elbow to show that it is indeed behind and the inner elbow shows more towards the front making the angle of the hand right.

Really love this. The straight on black/white/red with subtle shading and the webs clinging to his hand. This is a poster I wouldn't mind having.

Uhm, well, yes and no.

See, there's actually been about 6 Green Lanterns. John Stewart (who was featured in Justice League) has been the only black Green Lantern. But the rest of the DC Comics Green Lanterns have been white. </comic nerd>

He was created in the early 70's so the first incarnations were white, then later there was a black Green Latern. Although I don't remember one with black hair, I always thought they were brown haired.

The simple shading works well-for some reason I keep thinking or carls jr-If it doesnt get all over the place, it doesnt belong in your face.....

Really the subtle shading and the use of red and white and off greys makes this stand out. Ronald McDonald as a young boy before he became.... stable?
