It's taken me about eight attempts to comment on this, but this time I finally can!

There's just something about the skin texture that makes it look like it's bubbling and sloughing off. *shudder* The eyelids have that same molten flesh kind of look to them... It's almost too much to see! Very effective.

actually Dave, I drew just a shape, and then the image started forming in my mind as I went along... the music was just to soothe me as I drew slowly.. a combination of seeing the colors, creating something, and hearing really peaceful music all at once.. it helps me sometimes

Has a grounded feeling to it. Like nature, and is quite soothing with the color and curve of everything.

Honestly it doesn't scream Kate Winslet to me, I think it's the mouth.
Nevertheless this is a great sketch. I like that it doesn't look exactly like her, more of an interpretation.
Too bad about your error though ):
