Cool, and funny that she decided to hold the broom with 2 hands in version 2. :D.
Hihi funny cobweb shoulder.

Ditto what Flubbles said on the cat, but less ambiguous.

The Great Imposter
Teapot (Oct 15, 2010)
I didn't like him but he was okay in "Some Like It Hot". He always seemed kinda greasy. Too much hair pomade and skirt chasing. Jamie Lee won't talk to him. That's gotta say somethin' about the guy.
Suntan (Oct 19, 2010)
You did a good job..looks pretty perfect, Bob. :)

Version 4 is my favorite one. :)
Teapot (Oct 18, 2010)
Wow, the tension showing in those little muscles in the chin is fantastic. It really conveys strong emotion to me. That, plus the expression in the eyes. Beautiful work and what fun to watch your progression.
Suntan (Oct 19, 2010)
amazing..i love your work.

Going back to Oekaki was quite an "experience". I decided to brave the advanced board and put some real effort into the piece.

Then, when I was 3/4 done, some weird "shifting" thing happened that I couldn't undo. I ragequit, but then decided to go back and see if I could possibly fix it. The whole thing was at like 10% opacity and stuff was overlaid all over, but I got it looking reasonable. The original colour scheme was completely lost, though >.<

very nice work!
Teapot (Oct 19, 2010)
Sorry to hear the program was being bitchy. I'm glad you persevered. This is very beautiful. Wonderful modeling and shading of the facial features...really classic.
arisuki (edited Oct 19, 2010)
>>>what do you mean "shifting thing"

I was trying to move the entire drawing up by about 30 px, but nothing happened. Tried selecting the entire image and moving it down, and after a long pause, the whole image was shifted - at an extremely low opacity.
I ended up with "ghost" features all over the place; extra eyes, extra lips, extra nose, and I had to clone the layer and multiply it until you could actually SEE the drawing.

This was the last progress save I did on the original: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v634/arisuki/sleepingbeauty2.png?t=1287520112

the selection tools are affected by your brush settings, so if you have a low opacity, low flow, or antialiased brush, you will end up with a semi-transparent selection. Useful if you're trying to do that, not useful if you're not. :-) Your best bet is to use the move tool without selections. If that's not working, try hitting control D to force a deselect, and then try again.

end result looks great though.

Hello, judges. This is whatever the opposite of pandering is called.
Suntan (Oct 19, 2010)
Refusal? ...great repulsion in v2..might as well enjoy Autumn's greatness, like she is..and dread what's coming. Nicely done, Teapot! :)
Roytje (Oct 19, 2010)
This is wonderful.
Teapot (Oct 19, 2010)
Thanks all. I was thinking about your style of painting when I did this, Roytje, so I'm really pleased you like it. I so want to be able to draw more dynamic landscapes and I often look at yours for inspiration.

Congrats, Cyclops. This is such a kick ass caricature, very funny. I'm not sure if I'd have the good grace to laugh if you did one of me, though!
