OMG...This is the freakin' best lion i've drawn in my whole LIFE. *pauses to worship her tablet* *ahem* Anyway...not specifically based off of Disney's The Lion King, just all the artwork I've ever seen in my entire life. So hush, I don't want to hear it. I haven't seen that movie in like four years anyway. |

Ok, well tired so I'm going to finish this later. It currently looks like crap. This is my first attempt on the comp. drawing like this. This might take me awhile to finish but please comment on this to help me. Tell me ways to improve. I draw realistic on paper a lot, so being able to do it on the comp. will make me happy as well... thank you!Well, It was only an attempt. I failed, Yeah, But I think I will probably keep trying. Tips to become better are definatly appreciated. Hm...

I think it's a great try! The only thing that bugs me is that the neck looks a bit too thick, but I'm always used to smaller necks..so maybe it's just me. But just keep trying to draw like this on your comp. and you'll get better!

Well it was only an attempt to try to learn things. You see, Its basically the ears. Those don't seem to fit right. The right ear (our left) Shouldn't be seen as much as it is, since she has a 3/4 view. That's what I think. Thank you for the feed-back!

first decide what angle and which direction your light source is comming from, that'll give you a better idea where to place the shadows..like for her nose, the shadow of the nose will either be left, right or under in most cases, you have darkness on both sided of it which makes it look like you simply outlined it. (When we see, we dont really see lines, we see planes and color and value changing as the surafece of the subject changes).This also applies to the head as a whole. From there you can create the illusion of depth and form. |

on paintbbs you can only use two. oh and this is absolutely adorable! i'm amazed. i never knew you could do something like that on paintbbs!
