I don't recall if I ever commented on any of your art before, but if it was even close to being as pretty as this picture is, I betcha I did. :)
Silvair (Mar 1, 2007)
Your art is ever so pretty, as ever *_*. I remember the first time I saw an oekaki of yours at TACo, and I was blown away. And now I'm stll being blown away! I like the layered effect, and the beads are so cool and sparkley.
Sweetcell (Mar 1, 2007)
I've always loved your ladies, and this is no exception, but that pink throws me off. Still very lovely.
Punky (Mar 1, 2007)
This is beautiful. The colors are beautiful, but I really really love the expression.

Hm... I was thinking, if a light source like the sun were to hit a black umbrella, a shadow would be cast upon the object beneath it. However, if the light source was a strong and direct one like a spotlight, and it struck an opaque source like a red umbrella, would the umbrella then act as a light source? Or would there be like red shadows.. (if there is such a thing o_o;;?) Or .. like, if there were blue shadows and a red light source, would those intersecting points be purple shadows then?

Oh wow, thanks for the replies :D! And uber thanks willtremblay for the sites! I'm going to have to experiment more with this colour stuff. The whole idea of cast shadows vs. form shadows is rather confusing though :s..
Davinci: Ack yeah, I noticed the nose picking thing when I was submitting, and was hoping it was just me.. guess not lol! Now I can't stop staring at it o_o;;
davincipoppalag (Feb 19, 2007)
Hahah.lol.. well..you can pick your friends.. and you can pick your nose....but you can't make your friends stick to your shirt!!!

nyao (Dec 10, 2007)
the use of shadows and red/blue is really great~ i think if you used red (o even blue with more reflection of red) skintones more, it would've stood out even more~

Art GARfunk(le) ba dum ch.
Miss_DJ (Feb 18, 2007)
I like it. It's freaky and original. My fav part is the 'swooshing' movement of his left arm. Red/black are always a great combo, aren't they?

The colors, lineart, lighting and composition. You must draw more.
Silvair (Feb 7, 2007)
Spectacular lines :D. I really adore the crosshatching and the multiple colours used to shade the table ^^.

Oh poo I'm jealous of your speedy art skills xD. I always love how you shade your yellows :D, makes them feel creamy.
Hagaren (Feb 7, 2007)

fleeting_memory (Feb 7, 2007)

Nice to see you back C: You don't post enough here, I miss your pretty art D:
This gives me a nice warm feeling inside. And I agree with silvair, the yellows seem creamy somehow.

101_Torchic_101 (Feb 3, 2007)
Is this character from Bubblegum crisis? 0o
Silvair (Feb 3, 2007)
Thanks Trip and Caddris for the comments ^^.
Torchi: Aw.. this was actually just a figment of my imagination; I've never seen Bubblegum crisis before .__.;
Sweetcell (Feb 3, 2007)
Draw more of this figment, I just love this. Sci Fi and Fantasy are my favorite genre's and you draw both so well. Oh she must have a name and background. The way you used the blue and purple making it reflect off the metal. This is my favorite of yours because you were so loose and let your imagination go.
