Wow!, that is very kind of you to say...the first time anyone has ever said that, in fact. Not that I would expected it on any of them, but it's very nice to hear you liked it that much. Thank you. :)
jekyll (May 3, 2010)
I don't see any reason why this, or any one of several others shouldn't be in the gallery. You have a unique style that is easily recognizable and loved by many. I think it's high time some of your work gained a place of permanence on this site!

You just drew fire....my cheeks are flame red now! lol....;p...thanks very much for the vote of confidence! Tomorrow, Advanced! (j/k j/k!!) ;)

Thanks.

I like the purple between her hair and forehead. The green on the face looks a bit misplaced. But the style is going good :) |

Sticking up for my pal axil, he did ask you for a reference photo and you made up some excuse about your'e sister borrowing your'e camera so you couldn't give him one right away.
Roytje (Mar 12, 2010)
Really nice portrait, sir.

I really don't have a clue where you're talking about, Dorothy. :) Where did you read I'm surfing? And no, I don't have a job yet, I'm just a student with a hobby :)
shell (Mar 6, 2010)
student with a hobby? you rule and you're so annoyingly young. hope you'll start getting paid soon
Roytje (Mar 7, 2010)
Well thank you :)I did stop with my Biology study. I'm going to try to go to an art school next year. I hope I'll be good enough for it.
shell (Apr 5, 2010)
Ha biology study. We'll I'm a med student and I've one year left til I graduate. Think I should drop out and go for art school?.. Nah, it's been 5 years I might as well finish. But you on the other hand, you're much younger and much more talented than I am. I'm sure you're gonna rock that art school so go get em :) |

for Him. In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm done". But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because.......... The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!" Jesus is coming back.

Believing everything that can't be proven, and believing in God are two entirely different ideas in my heart and mind. I have a relationship with God that is unmistakably real here and now. I have daily proof in my life that He is...and always was, "I AM."
marcello (Mar 6, 2010)
hard to argue with that. ;)
Flubbles (Mar 6, 2010)
If god really does exist, then who here can conclusively give me evidence i cannot dispute? i'm not saying i dont believe in god, i've just never been given any concrete evidence of his existence.
Axil62 (Mar 6, 2010)
See? You are persuing Him. |

Suntan (edited Mar 15, 2010)
damn...well, it's gone, but i will comment for your other one anyway because i thought it was fantastic. I thought the comment you left on it was equally wonderful. It felt to me oddly connected to what your son is studying. like that subject pervaded your subject. It was great, I hope you saved it. I wouldn't be surprised if he/you already know about these but; read the book, Night by Eli Weisel? It's about the Holocaust through the eyes of a 15 year old, may be too old for your son, but read it anyway. look at the documentary and all that it includes of "The Paper Clip Project" http://whitwellschoolmiddle.org/homepage_pc.cfm?id=78 Good job :)
lori (Mar 15, 2010)
yeah, I didn't much like that other one... thanks Suntan... I will look into that book for him, he's 14

drawing is fun!:)
Roytje (Feb 23, 2010)
I hope you don't, Axil. But I was talking about DMV.
Axil62 (Feb 23, 2010)
Oh...no of course I don't. That's just ridiculous. The word of God, however, is.
dorothyblueeyes (Feb 24, 2010)
I agree that this is very good, but how, I'm not in the showcase at all? (Bitches, complains, and grouses) what's on that, I'm chopped liver? No, this is very good, I don't really care. I'm just trying to be egotistical and artistic. This is a very excellent picture.
davincipoppalag (Jun 24, 2018)
I wish DMV would come back |
