Of course you sent me browsing your gallery, because apparently I haven't seen it all. The use of strokes for the rock is brilliant!

I'm glad you're trying watercolour because I think the medium would lend itself to your style. If you can find it, there is a book by a woman I think you would really like. It's called 'How to Make a Watercolor Paint Itself' by Nita Engle. Thanks for sharing your class paintings. It takes awhile to work out all the properties of the different pigments--transparent, opaque, staining, etc. Then you have to play with working wet in wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, and refine your lost and found edge technique. It's hard and frustrating but also the most fun and magical when it works, IMO.
Roytje (May 8, 2010)
Something like this, Teapot? :)

Mmmm! Nice interplay of the warm and cool colours together! I got the sense of a forest fire. I am liking how you keep the movement and looseness with your paints. Though I can admire the control achieved, I don't find myself liking watercolours that get too 'tight', too detailed. This painting has a nice balance of a little detail with a lot of impression.

Paintchat
Roytje (Dec 15, 2009)
Last night I did paintchat with Solve on Nikos paintchat. It was pretty cool and I thought it would be cool if 2draw had a paintchat too. It would be fun to see some artists drawing 'live' :)

For me it's a loaded piece of art, probably because it looks like you were playing with somebody's guts.

Negativity as in downing other people's beliefs. Especially when the belief system is based on love and kindness towards others (e.g. Gandhi, Buddha, Martin Luther King Jr., etc all figures of history who were killed for wanting to help people and encourage others to help each other) what reason do you have to bash them?
Roytje (May 4, 2010)
I also believe he isn't coming. Are you downing my beliefs too?
backmagicwoman (May 4, 2010)
It's not anyone's place to down anyone elses beliefs..and that goes for everyone involved...

Yeah, that conversation look kind of strange, Shults ;)
Teapot (Apr 27, 2010)
Yep, that looks like 'happy' alright. I'm hoping your happy has to do with getting in to art academy. Haven't seen that drama, Flubbles, but I'll look for it now.
