This is for the contest, let me describe..The ultimate paradise, is my ultimate dream, a world where cancer can be beaten. My father had cancer and it's so frustrating there's nothing you can do. A lot of people die because of this disease, it's a nightmare and the only paradise for me is a world where hospitals can beat cancer! (The yellow ambulance is a dutch one, becaus i'm dutch! =D) |

This is for the contest, didn't turned out how I wanted, but I think it does to the contest. I don't like Bush so much (neitherone does in Holland. hehe :P) and I do like strawberry's. So I forced Bush to eat a strawberry.

Female face, practice, happy with this picture. Have to practice a lot with the tools. Critic's good.
MelissaMissy (Aug 27, 2007)
It's good that someone likes their art! Hardly no one does. This is lovely.
Sweetcell (Aug 27, 2007)
If I may, these are suggestions only. The face is good but a bit too long. If you raise the mouth, lower the eyes a bit, and form the mouth so the corners line up to the middle of the eyes it would have better form. The space between the bottom of the nose and the top of the mouth is a fingertip (place your finger on the curvey part below the nose to see) As well make the head/hair smaller. It's too big and round (less you were going for boufant look :}) To make your lines less sketchy try usng the airbrush thickly, then shave down with the soft erasure. Takes more time but the results are worth it. If you add a neck and color in her hair and put a darker bg it would finish this. It's nicely done, just needs tweakng.

Thanks Sweetcell, I appreciate suggestions and help. Will try to finish this and colour it better, will change the face too, thanks! |

Practice of the female body again.
marcello (Aug 19, 2007)
this looks like a male body
davincipoppalag (edited Aug 19, 2007)
You hang with funny lookin guys Marcello :0)
Sweetcell (Aug 19, 2007)
I agree with Marcello, looks more like pecks than breasts. It's the torso more than anything. Very masculine. |

Same here mooki, be it fat, full figured, whatever you call this, it's hot!Finished it! Closed the lines, thanks for the critic! :D
KuteDymples (Aug 19, 2007)
I think there should be more draws of larger people, there are more larger people in the world now days than normal sized people. (Me included) I always enjoy some one paying respect to the plus sized body such as this. Great draw. I would love to see it more finished though. Changed shadows, looks better now in my opinion.

I'm sorry about your father, Sanne. You actually live in that world.....bazillions of people fight cancer and beat it every day. (several of my immediate family members have done so) It's not always a death sentence, sometimes it's all about attitude. You gotta want to live badly enough to... well, to LIVE, though. There are, however, inoperable, untreatable cases, and if your father's happened to be one of those, you have my deepest sympathy and my prayers.
I'm with Dan in that I'd rather die from pretty much anything than having to be saved by an ambulance that looks like a 1969-1973 reject refrigerator with wheels that came from a junkyard and was spray painted by homeless people who got hold of some really bad weed.
Remember to keep your chin up and keep your sense of humor. Nobody gets out of here alive, either way. :)
edit: I didn't intend for any of that to sound mean, I was actually trying to "impart some hope". I don't know your exact situation, and I do know personally how painful it is. Life would not be nearly so precious or joyful if it didn't come with the pain and the cost of living it. I think sometimes cancer brings itself upon us as a gift so that we have time to say "goodbye"... that's necessary for some people. Don't be afraid. (Your ambulance is cute... that along with Dan's "brashness" made me laugh and I needed that. :)
