Technically, this may or may not be a piece of shit.
But artistically, it is probably one of the most provocative pieces I've ever seen on this site.
I'm off to check whether I can have my grandmothers exhumed and examined.
I'm pretty sure they died of "aids curtains." (Those are the ones with the floral print, right?).

Flooding, it's starting to flood. Must be spring.

Once upon a time, an "artist" deficated in a tin can and called it art. "Art" has such a broad meaning that you could call just about anything "art".
YoureToast (Mar 21, 2007)
hey, the guy who said:" At least it's not shitty anime" is right. i get so sick of seeing that. AIDS CURTIANS just popped up in my head. Alot of artist just use words BTW. Hahaha and you have to watch out for that floral print R. that's one of the early symptoms.

A look I actually get when I feel inspiration. Only then can I actuallly visualize fully what I want to accomplish, rather than discovering that as I go as I normally do.

Spacing is indeed an integral part of pointilism. No spaces, no points.

Looks nothing like the reference I was using, nothing. But there is probably someone somewhere that looks like this.

I really like the subtle use of colours, and the fact you have done 2 faces not just one, so its interesting to compare them...
R. (edited Mar 4, 2007)
Superb. It might be even more powerful if you flipped the right profile. Or if you turned the entire image 90 degrees, so that the profiles become landscapes. Or perhaps you could just tell me to go get stuffed.
lori (Mar 4, 2007)
thanks... R., I'm not sure you can flip images in Lascaux? never noticed that option anyway... but yes, I could do alot more with this, but these are my lazy type drawings, just line and fill
Kloxboy (Mar 5, 2007)
These faces are great, you really caught their features well with just a few indications of form. I like how you mix it up, you seem to be able to draw just about anything.

is the fish on drugs? is that what the swirllies are?

This is soooo cool though I want a fish bowl like that that would be sweet
Roytje (Mar 4, 2007)
How did you get the watertool-look of the fish in Lascaux? I can't find that tool in Lascaux..
But this painting is fantastic, very stylish with a nice compostion. :)
Dr.Snoopy (Mar 4, 2007)
@Roytje: You need to activate blending and then lower the flow ;) But it feels different from Shi-Painter.
Just practice a bit and you start to feel comfortable.

It's a cool picture of a fish!
woah_pockster (Mar 5, 2007)
I'm going to slaughter you. you're too good! D:

I just love how you made this picture. The light in the far corner gives off a very warm feeling, and their expressions are just perfect.
Another great masterpiece.
golden_ataris (Jan 6, 2009)
I love this, so tender and warm. Facial expressions are wonderful, makes me wonder what it is about the two girls...
