1, 2, 3.... BITE!
DeadlyBlondeArcher
(May 25, 2004)
The foot of a person who is about to feel one bite, and then a whole bunch of bites all at once, and then will hop and scream and slap at their feet and ankles, and then they will discover that there are also ants in their pants, and they will remove their pants hurriedly and then they will back into a cactus with no pants on, and they will be picking cactus stickers out of their butt and scratching their feet right when the cops arrive to arrest them for indecent exposure, and they will wear a road map around their waist on the way to jail, because they cannot put their pants back on because the ants are still in them.
Noremac (May 26, 2004)
that is F'ed up
Pandora (May 27, 2004)
The veins in the big toe is so real and the skin beneath it. Unusual piece of art and so well done.
mooseflower (May 27, 2004)
Heh heh, 'toe'tally awesome! (eep! I'm being infected by puns!)
laurael (May 31, 2004)

I always find these types of paintings incredible- I didnt copy it exactly- but tried to capture her wistful look
Porcelain (Apr 24, 2004)
Absolutely lovely. The mixture of colors -- although fairly random -- works with this peice well. I always love replica art (Personal renditions of the viewer). It's gorgeous.
davincipoppalag (Apr 24, 2004)
Its a very nice image.. I like the colors too... the neck looks a bit purple..but it might have been intentional..just looks a bit odd to me..the rest is very nice.
cmb (Apr 25, 2004)
I just couldnt get the right mix on the neck and eventually gave up- you caught me out! LOL |

If you haven't already figured it out.. I'm just drawing pictures of people I see on google search. It's fun. Doesn't take much effort. And the overall effect is interesting. 8)
Hedwiga (Apr 22, 2004)
Do you like the band Hum? They are a very good band. Whatever makes your boat float--it's pretty neat. :P
Porcelain (Apr 22, 2004)
Never heard of them. But they sound interesting.

Is colorist a word? oh well you are great at coloring and shading.
Kloxboy (Jun 3, 2004)
A colorist is not only a word but a profession. There are 3-D art colorists, comic book colorists and sometimes a colorist refers to someone who understands color theory. Also a colorist is also a name for a hairdresser who specializes in dyeing hair. I suggest you look it up if you don't believe me.
Ty854 (edited Jun 5, 2004)
I believe you. well then i guess theres only one thing i can say to that: you and porcalein ARE both great colorists. |

"In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him till he cried out in his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving!" but the fighter still remains...." ~ Simon and Garfunkle (another favorite)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 19, 2004)
You didn't ruin it. You overworked it a little. I know what you do... it reaches a point where it's great, but you don't see it yet, you look at it and think, but... it could be better if I just do this, and that, and pretty soon...you start to become frustrated and it's overworked. I actually still like v.2 the best. But I understand you, and I like you, and I like your art, and I like all the versions.
dixielandcutie (Mar 19, 2004)
well said dba, lol. and this new version is very cool. i like the silveryish coloring better! awesomeness axil
Porcelain (Mar 22, 2004)
That's wonderful. As I was scanning through the Advanced Art and carefully (or rather, nonchalantly) criticizing each one, I stumbled upon yours. Truly wonderful, Axil -- I always admire your art. You have an amazing style -- Reminds me of Van Gogh (the circles compared to his wavy lines).

wow impressive, another one I wouldn't have recognized as yours had I not known |

2nd one of the zodiac series: Libra"One of the goblet holds life, the other contain deadth. I watch them coming to me and begging for a sip. I shed all my tears till blood filled my eyes. Little did they know, death can be a blessing, while the life without love will make you a living dead." a little background story for this character: she was sick and her lover stole this sweet nectar which will grand immortality. As a punishment, her lover died and though she may live, she has to hold the goblets contain life and death.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 7, 2004)
Whatever you did, you got it just right. Wonderful depth and perspective on the arms, cup's not flat, and I love the way the robe is *gauzey* looking. I like wicked art stuff, never drew any.... maybe I should try something evil? A sunny, flowery picture.... with something EVIL! lol
Look (Feb 7, 2004)
Thanks for all the wonderful comments. DBA: my old logo used to be a crazy sunflower with sharp teeth grow out of a skull... XD So there, sunny flowery and something evil!
dixielandcutie (Feb 8, 2004)

A portrait of my favorite TV character of all time, Archie Bunker. Actually, I hate TV fo the most part and those reality shows blow! I know, it's not photo realistic, it's not finished but it looked so painterly and cool, I say it's done. I used my mouse. Pic: http://www.angelfire.com/rings/cloxboy/archie.gif
Axil62 (Feb 8, 2004)
Clox, this is a nice surprise from you, thanks.
Look (Feb 8, 2004)
awesome portrait. It's actually nice you leave the hair unfinished, so it's more like a drawing than photo
davincipoppalag (Feb 11, 2004)
you did this with a mouse??? Incredible likeness .. I can almost hear him saying "Stifle...Edith!" wonderful..
bumpinthenight (Jun 14, 2004)

Opps, ya rioght, I did swich the vowels, But I dyslexic, I sorry >.< But you could spell it Alig.. or Arig.. Because, as I'm sure you know, there is no L or R, just a blend of the two. so when it comes to these situations, I like to put both the L and the R. Oh, And I'm half Japanese, not an Asian wannabe as some people seem so apt to call me...
marcello (Feb 7, 2004)
Well, I updated it, doesn't seem to have helped though...
PinkuEspeon (edited Feb 14, 2004)
Hmm... I'm sorry... I really like this image as the way it is now, also... ah hah hah! I get on my b/f's nerves by calling him Tsuki instead of Tsukasa! ^_^!! It's sooo funny! He blushes when I call him that! :D Don't ask... I'm weird... and bored... and, everyone knows that tsuki means moon and that taiyo means sun... right? Right. |
