For those of you who missed out on the excitement over my spring break, here is a quick synopsis: Server got hacked, server got used to attack other servers, server was quickly shut down, server sat around all alone. Rather than restore the existing server (which required a new hard disk, full reinstall of the operating system and all that good stuff), I opted to get a newer, faster, better server and move everything to that. reference: http://www.helnwein.de/werke/home/home.html I was inspired to do a study from one of his paintings (oil and acrylic on canvas) after being directed to his site from a link that zep left on one of my drawings. This guy rocks my boat.

Helnwein...Helnwein...:O YES! I know who he is! I read a good book about him, and his paintings. It was him who did the medical pictures, right? And those images of famous people that were so dark you could only see in just the right light. This is goooood, Cindy, goooood.

you use the other side of the brain? you mean, just take a picture, and view it very objectively, minus any meaning to the picture? your brain just photographs it literally?

It results in forcing you to see more accurately what you're looking at rather than drawing a preconceived notion of what something looks like. Everyone does that unconsciously. I remember aaaaggeeesss ago just after I first joined, there was a comic strip on one of the boards with a guy and his kid fishing and the kid caught a taco...I thought it was REALLY funny, but I think it got deleted. Just wondering, who drew that?

Ugh. Busses. You'd think that when a timetable says that there's a bus at 3:00 you wouldn't be waiting at the stop until 4:20. GRRRRRRRR...I was SO angry at the bus driver today. He made me miss rehearsal.Done.
Maybe the traffic was bad, or the bus broke down?

Nope, no traffic, never much on a Sunday...doubt it broke down...I was only 3 blocks from the depot anyway.

I saw them in Atlanta in 1985 and they were awesome. They must have gray hair by now. Great picture!

this a WIP for a friend that will become a part of the cover for his next album his band is coming out with, it's inspired by someone else but he liked the contradictory idea and image of a famous political figure doing an uncharacteristic thing. i'm sure there are some relevancies or deeper meanings can be found, but whatever, assuming you can figure out who this man is. the older members of this board should be able to get it (also assuming i drew this well enough for him to be recognizable)as always, criticism, input, even some new ideas are welcome before i finish this up
