I just couldn't get the oiliness that you get. I think you may have skipped an important step between V5 and V6 in your tutorial because I couldn't figure how you went from desaturate to that landscape.

Or I'm a ninny and haven't figured it out.

Oh well, for what it's worth, another prezzie in your style.
A rose by any other name..... would be a different flower. :D

Thanks a lot for your helpful, descriptive advice! I'm drawing a new picture right now, and everything makes much clearer sense. I can't believe I didn't see that opacity slider. XD *thumps head* Anywho, thanks again for the warm greeting and steering me in the right direction. See you on the boards!

I'm sure Donna hasn't seen this or she would have commented on it. It looks like one of those star explosions in space that turned out to look like roses. I love it.

I don't have a tablet. Do you know how unnerving that can be at times? D: Anyway, here's my first unfinished attempt/submission, done with, of course, a mouse. D: Uhh...enjoy, somehow... o_o;

I'm new too! >w< Welcome!
I hope you finish it soon, lookin' good! Though I think the whites of his/ her eyes are too large, but it may just be your style. And maybe the eyebrows are too short? Anywho, keep it up!

I know how hard it is to draw with a mouse. Take advantage of bezier and line when you can (though don't overuse it) The best way to do lines is using the airbrush, making semi thick lines then using the erasure on low flow and opacity and shaving the lines away. It gives you much smoother lines (and make sure anti/alias is checked) Not bad so far Manyan, just don't worry about taking your time. The more time you take on something the better it'll come out and the better you learn. Welcome.
