Oh this is so cool!! I LOVE that tree, and the lines and colors are fantastic!! By the looks of the first posted version, I'd say your mood changed a bit......was that a good thing or a bad thing?? (it's a good thing according to this drawing!!!! =)

Ask Marcello, or Maiko, or Zack, or Visceral Vamp for space. Always remember to say please. They like that. :)Is that yellow part of the sky or a cliff? If it's a cliff you should darken the bottom edges and let it get lighter as you get to the top. If it's part of the sky you should try to blend it in with the blue. More highlights on the clouds so they don't look like they're being lost in the background. And sharpen things up a bit. If your using blur I recommend you stop, blur can ruin images if used too heavily. Maybe make the sand less orange and more yellow, somewhat the color of the background sky/cliff. You've got a great start. meh, can't seem to blend the sky...

I am THRILLED that you recognized it to be the Cascades! Actually it IS what I see on the way to work as far as the sky and mountains are concerned. But there are fields in front of the mountains, I just used my 'artistic license' to create the lake instead. So glad you like the way it turned out! |
