Oh, my eyes are okay. The journal from Deviant was more about losing my 20/20 vision and stupidity to find something.
Miss_DJ (Feb 5, 2011)
I love the light in this picture.
Wraith (May 12, 2011)
Was your cat really in the birdhouse? Either way, that is a hilarious picture!
lori (May 12, 2011)
no, I manipulated the photo to have it appear that he was.. but if one was big enough, Copper would gladly take up residence in it.. with a big shit eating grin too :D

I didn't know it was his last movie. He's an incredible actor/director. I've enjoyed his work for years.

ps what a wonderful silhouette this is.
enjoydotcom (Dec 16, 2009)
It is his last movie as an actor, the two after this are directed / to be directed by him.
Wraith (May 12, 2011)
Clint Eastwood is the man. My favorite movie with Clint is "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly." Nice job on this one Axil62!

Sticking up for my pal axil, he did ask you for a reference photo and you made up some excuse about your'e sister borrowing your'e camera so you couldn't give him one right away.
Roytje (Mar 12, 2010)
Really nice portrait, sir.
backmagicwoman (edited Mar 12, 2010)

Just bringing this to the top again so people who missed it can enjoy it.

Thought I commented on this. Oh well. It takes cajones to draw pictures of yourself wearing only your Fruit of the Loom™ tighty whities for the world to see.

I livened the eyes for DJ, though in the photo I used for a ref., they were so squinted up from the smiling, that they appeared mostly black
Miss_DJ (May 11, 2011)
oh, lori..you didn't have to change it for me! It's great draw either way!
Axil62 (May 11, 2011)
I like it much better with the new eyes
lori (May 12, 2011)
Well splendid then! I shall keep it this way.

Pretty soon we'll have food cops.
lori (edited May 9, 2011)
wtf! I'm being screwed out of all my favorite foods and beverages! But yeah, the peanut butter kind scrapes the roof of my mouth. They do have the same kind only it's store brand.. maybe they'll keep that around.
KuteDymples (May 11, 2011)
Noooo! I gotta have my Cap'N Crunch! LOL Crunch berries for me though. Peanut butter ain't bad either.

I've done it a few times myself, if you dont do the drawing in one go though you have to remember the exact time to pause it for next time.
Axil62 (May 9, 2011)
or you can pause the video, do a screen print, paste it in whatever paint perogram you may have, crop whatever part you want to use as the ref and save it. Then it'll be there whenever you want to come back to it.
Teapot (May 10, 2011)
oh yum. happy to see something from you, Itchy.

A little village on a rock, seen through a sand storm. :D. Love it.
Miss_DJ (May 8, 2011)
Thank you so so much! I'm really trying to branch out from my 'norm'...I sure appreciate your comments!! ♥♥♥

I've looked at this about 30 times now. You're probably sick of me raving about your work but, too bad. I really love it. I hardly ever like abstract expressionism but you make it so beautiful and interesting.
Miss_DJ (May 10, 2011)
I am honored and always will be that you like my art. It truly is a privilege that you'd stop and comment! Thank you! ♥

trying to draw from the perspective of the lightsource. I think if I can't imagine what is visible from there I won't be able to shade it properly. Reminded me that it's easiest to paint frontal lighting...because I don't have to put myself into multiple perspectives.

only one light source - no diffuse light - dull surface - no tricks to make it look right/good. thinky thinky

i wish i could reach out and gently push his chin down and and the back of his head up. he's quite stiff. it seems like a difficult pov to start off with.
Miss_DJ (May 6, 2011)
I keep coming back to this one. It's a good study for me.
