and the color pink
davincipoppalag (Jun 6, 2007)
Very beautiful and exuberant..the essence of a field of colorful flowers blowing in the wind ..Donna starts the new age of impressionism at 2draw..
xswirvex (Jun 7, 2007)
very awsome, feels very 'surreal'. nice job.
Miss_DJ (Jun 7, 2007)

You can most likely use any colors for this, but I find b/w work the best.I. Begin in NORMAL mode. Create a drawing in b/w or fill the whole board with black....
Punky (Jun 6, 2007)
This is cool, it actually looks like a rose made out of crystal formations. :)
Kloxboy (Jun 7, 2007)
Awesome. Thank you for making this tutorial. I'm going to experiment with this technique sometime.
Naima (Jun 8, 2007)
Hey, cool! Glad you took the time to write this up, Miss DJ!

Kloxboy (Jun 5, 2007)
That's the theme of existence isn't it? "fun with black and white". :P So we know how you do the colorful fusion but how do you do this? oO
davincipoppalag (Jun 5, 2007)
You find such cool things to make the tools do, Donna! I love this...
diver2026 (Jun 6, 2007)

FIRST STEP:HAVE FUN! CHOOSE A BRUSH YOU LIKE AND PUT AS MANY COLORS ON THE CANVAS AS YOU'D LIKE. PLAY. PLAY. PLAY. I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, SO HAVE FUN WITH IT. THE DIRECTION OF YOUR STROKES DON'T HAVE TO BE ANY 'ONE' WAY. BE CREATIVE! DOING THIS TO MUSIC YOU LIKE IS ESPECIALLY RECOMMENDED.
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
Oh CRAP! You did a tutorial like I asked? Donna, this is amazing and if I could I'd reach through the screen and hug you. I knew you used all the special tools I just didn't know how you did it. Honey, thanks for this, you know I gotta try now. Do wish we could have a fave folder, this would go right in. (((((Donna)))))Btw, awesome picture, and I love the little added bubble on the left.
davincipoppalag (Jun 5, 2007)
Fun fun fun! You just defined...FUN hehe..You're fun! ;0)
diver2026 (Jun 6, 2007)

Miss_DJ (edited Jun 6, 2007)

I hope the tutorial makes sense, if anyone has any questions, feel free to memo me.Here's my favorite example using this method for part of a picture: http://zoraw.cellosoft.com/data/8/86673/86673-v2.jpg this is another example of the same technique: http://zoraw.cellosoft.com/data/8/83752/83752-v2.jpg |

How in earth are you able to make such gorgeous color flows?
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
It's like an alien fish. I'm with Joy, I think the only way we'll know is if you do a tutorial like I did.Tutorial Donna, I wanna do flowy, oily rainbow pictures. Btw, I really like V3, really has an alien landscape look to it.

A fireworks lily~~~ you don't water them..you put lighter fluid on them once a week.. finally when they blossom..they shoot one flower into the sky and leave the garden full of glowing sparks....they're very rare.. you were lucky to find this one! Fun creative and prstty Mizz Donna
jazz2jizy (Jun 9, 2007)

just an aminal. kinda like an animal, but different.
Miss_DJ (edited May 28, 2007)
thank you! This effect is created using only 3 colors, one for the background, 2 for the foreground, put over each other in angles till the desired look came about. No other tools. It's fun! Use the angled soft brush and give it a try! Edge out the figure with the background and voila' it is whatever you 'cut' it out to be. here's Sweetcell's tutorial link; http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/83849/
davincipoppalag (May 28, 2007)
I would but I totally forgot how the angle brush works and the select tools, too.
Sweetcell (May 28, 2007)
It looks like a psychedelic Easter bunny. This is the bunny Alice followed after she took the pink pill. :)I like it as, I hope you don't do much more with this. I mean it even has an eye.
Miss_DJ (May 28, 2007)
thank you Sweetcell. I may not do to much at all. |

"My disposition and my desires call for peace to spin my thread, for a steady rhythm in life and art." For somewhere in my fifties the desire of my heart turned from public speaking to the steady rhythms of writing to spin my head." This work of art has steady, regular, angular, rhythms--perhaps rhythms is not the right word--directions back and forth, back and forth, much like my writing--ad nauseam--back and forth endlessly....as I say much like aspects of my writing. I might add that the surface of writing is like the up-front black lines in your work--with a background which is as critical as the forground--indeed, an essential juxtaposition. I enjoy looking at art through the lens of my writing.
