I used a reference picture! I listen to his music, but I didn't know how to make him look like him so I had to look at a photo. I also had to change it a little so I could do it.

Excellent job on him Dino. You captured his personality very well. Nicely done!
laurael (Aug 1, 2004)
Very cool way you did this, dino...love it!
Aubrey (Aug 1, 2004)
Yeah DBA, ya kind of reminds me of an episode of the Twilight Zone when these three guys went on a space ship and landed on some meteor they thought was earth.. was called Eternal Peace or something, basically the company that owned it let the dead clients live out their dreams eternally after death.. and the caretaker's job was to guarantee there was always peace on the graveyard meteor.. so he poisoned them and when they asked why he said "because you are man... as long as there is man, there can be no peace"

At any rate, This is a great picture Dino, he looks like he's at peace with himself :)
LovelyLori (Aug 4, 2004)
you did this so quickly... how do you people do such excellent work so quickly?? I'll never understand...

You draw such neat things and it's always in such a short amount of time. 'mazes me!! Youre great Dino :)
JackSprat (Jul 23, 2004)
They eat grapes!? How sick and twisted is that? LOL....very nice! You get 3 aminal cookies, plus all the broken off legs I can find in the bag, for your goat, a'cause I'm sure he'll eat them.
LovelyLori (Jul 23, 2004)
give this goat some wine and cheese... he'll love it!
mooseflower (Aug 4, 2004)
A goat at a petting zoo tried to eat my mom's hat... of course, it wasn't as cute as this one that you did is :)

davincipoppalag (Aug 4, 2004)
Great job Jack! It has the feel of one of those 40s era cartoons
Zack (Aug 4, 2004)

How layers work.
- Layers can be thought of as clear sheets of plastic that you draw or paint on. Each layer is independent of the other, and their order can be changed.
- The main use for layers is being able to paint behind something without changing it. This is essential for coloring lineart, but is also useful for seperating the foreground, midground, and background.
- Layers can also be useful for transparency. For example, if your drawing had a ghost in it, you could have the ghost on its own layer and set it to half opacity. (Opacity is the opposite of transparency.) This is also useful for lighting effects.
- Keep in mind, however, that more layers usually means bigger file size.

Adding layers.
In Oekeki-Shi, each drawing starts out with a default of three layers. Usually that is all you need, but if you need to add a layer, click the Menu button in the layers window. Lascaux starts with just one layer. To add layers in Lascaux, simply click the button under the word Edit on the left.

Changing layer order.
After selecting the layer you want to move, drag it in the direction you want to move it.

Hiding/showing layers.
To hide or show a layer in Oekeki-Shi, click on the circle to the right of its name in the layer window. To hide or show a layer in Lascaux, click on the V to the left of its name in the layer list.

ILoveKenshin (Aug 4, 2004)
This was a good idea. ^^ So many people don't know how to use layers, and it definately helps. Great hand! I wish I could draw hands... TT-TT

Oh wow! I really like this for some reason. I love your shading. The different sizes in lineart makes it look awesome. Nice stuff.

I like this guy because he doesn't complain about having his pictures deleted, or moved, or that nobody likes him, or other such stupid and selfish things. He's just... such a trooper! He has the heart of a champion!

Ty854 (edited Aug 4, 2004)
He reminds me a lot of "Lil Brudder" the one-legged puppy. The hat is hilarious!
Knockoff (Aug 4, 2004)
hahaha, I'll try to put in a robo soon, zack. I love his expression, its different, because you don't usually see robots that happy. I like the "Oh well!" Haha

Well, I knew it was Prince. It's kinda funny, since Prince actually did a song for one of the many Batman movies.

...yep.
davincipoppalag (Aug 3, 2004)
It DOES look a bit like Little Richard too ,doesn't it??
emmamommalag (Aug 3, 2004)
