welll... er the bird
Erewin (Jun 17, 2004)
Nice sense of realism in the feet, and I like the decorative effect on the wing. It's like he's crouching after fluffing his feathers, the way birds always do.
Cordelia_Pink (Jul 30, 2004)
oohhh... it looks like a real painting drawn in oil pastels or something. looks really cute! =) good job

Great job, especially on the waves and water. Sure hope that board doesn't crack that boy on the head. lol
thug (May 12, 2004)
wonderful water and action pic. Makes me want to go to a tropical paradise. I love all of your recent stuff.
Aubrey (May 13, 2004)
Wonder how much it would take to move that beach to Ohio!! I think it's well worth the cost! Yay! Really cool picture and nice effect with the water Cindy :-D
Pandora (May 14, 2004)
I can feel the fall, the build up of the waves is dramatic and his body position looks difficult to draw and so real like.

Cowboys always get to "choose their weapon" before dueling.. which I think very much symbolizes the choices we have with applets and boards... and what the hey, they even say DRAW!! afterwards.. I think that pretty much sums up this whole experience. Whether the opponent (the picture) is defeated in the end or the opponent defeats you.. speed.. talent... and experience with the weapon you choose is what will decide the outcome.

This ship was called Endurance and it sank in 1915 after becoming trapped in the icy waters of Antarctica. This picture was taken just before it sank.

Wow,this is amazing Aubs. The eerie, ghostly colours used & the intricate design look fantastic here : )
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 11, 2004)
This is cool, don't know how I missed it earlier but glad I caught it. Looks like an awful lot of work in the details on that ship... You did a great job on it.
DieChan (May 13, 2004)
In seventh grade I saw a documentary on the Endurance and saw this exact ghostly picture. You have captured its freakiness, in a good way. Looks just like that ship.

Haha. They shouldn't have been sailing in the icy waters of the Antarctic. Then they wouldn't have plowed right into the ice and get their only ship crushed. Idiots. (IJP, I'm just playing)

This is really awesome! Very nice work. ^^

This is going to be so pretty, aubsy. I suggest you detail some of those flowers. The colors are great but you can't really see any flowers... just, colorful blurriness.
Supergurl103 (May 9, 2004)
thats a pretty picture, nice aubrey :) i love the sky and the greens ;)
tivatdoar (edited May 12, 2004)
very cool blur effect!
Idea: blur the tree also, and add an unblured character very close to the screen, in front of the tree.
this way the character will benefit from the view behind her, and pepole will want to look above it to see the tree. for short - I think it will add.

hey i was doing the twist last night at my mom and stepdad's reception last night :D..but seriously cool picture :) i like those cars it looks like the pic is set in the fifties (they did the twist back then right?)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 9, 2004)
Well, yeah, actually this is kind of early sixties I guess. They were twisting then and twisting again in the 60's. I was born in the mid 60's so alot of these cars were still driving around when I was little and I have always loved them. :)
thug (May 12, 2004)
this is my favorite of your most recent art. That looks just like the neighborhood I lived in until I turned 3. We go back there sometimes and it still looks like this, only without the classic cars. Never got a tornado but my dad burned up the back yard accidently once. Ahhh, reminiscing about the good old days... I can still feel the ashes burning my eyes.

i agree with TyShitsukoi.
fleeting_memory (Aug 7, 2004)
you've been gone a while--you should come back and finish this piece. You know you look a LOT like one of my friends back when your hair was blonde...creepy
